I don't know if the homer is starting to kick in, but the Kid is growing on me. I really like his attitude.
I still wish we would of traded out of the pick and got a couple defensive starters in return.........but it is what it is.

The Bears are in a position where they need to just out good players on the team.

They needed 7 to be a stud and White has the best chance.

They need the picks today to he good players, I don't care what positions they pick, they just need to be good players.

Even when Jerry and Phil would hit a pick, they would follow it with garbage. We need to look back at this draft and say we got 3-4 real players from it.

This FO is showing that they won't overpay what they consider to be a player's value. White is a great move is AJ wants #1 money and they don't think he is worth that type of money.

What source do you have that supports this besides your own opinion? I would imagine the front office would be pretty happy with their young wide receiver.

This kid wants to beat the guy in front of him and has all the tools to do so. He's a specimen and is also what you'd want as far as character. He's going to need coaching, but he seems like someone who would embrace that. Cooper wasn't there and I was happy someone was. If Williams had been there it would have been as much of a no brainer, because White would have been gone.

I like the White pick and admittedly, I didn't care if it was Cooper or White. I read multiple places that WR was going to be drafted heavy in round 1 (6 total), which would push good players down into round 2. I felt, take one of the top WR's at #7, then see which players fell to #39. I like the options available to the Bears at #39 and I think they come out of this draft with 2 impact players potentially on both sides of the ball. If you set a poll in Feb after the combine asking how many would be on board with 2 1st round talent players on each side of the ball, I think everyone here loves that scenario. Right?

I think there are great players available at CB, OLB, and OT in round 2. This draft is setting up nice for the Bears to fill multiple positions with instant impact players in rounds 1-3.

do u have a link

Doubtful any link is serious. Hard to see a better alternative. I don't expect much different from Jay other than the staff not putting it all on him. I think a lot of you guys need to look at next yr or the year after. I'm not sold on either qb this year, so they will probably be HOF. Bears got a player who can be a dominant outside threat - he may have been a bit limited in college and has a short resume, but he's definitely a physical player. I like the pick - when Williams and White were there at 6, I was pretty happy.

I was so worried they were going to do a Phil Emery smarter guy in the room pick.

Very glad they drafted the BPA and a guy that makes sense.

I was thinking the exact same thing before the pick. White seemed the logical move to me.

Kevin White was the right pick considering how the board went.

But damn... I'm gonna be heartbroken for a while over missing out on Leonard Williams. We were so close...

agreed. I was hopeful the Jets would screw up and draft need instead of BPA, but they didn't. There are impact defensive players available in round 2, so I'm hopeful the Bears get one today.

Williams' shoulders must be pretty bad to fall like he did. Had the Jets not taken him, I wonder if the Bears would've passed as well.

Do you listen or read any local media? It's been an ongoing dialogue since the end of last season. I like AJ, and keeping him and White paired up will be ideal. But if he asks for #1 WR money, I have an issue paying him that.

Wish he coulda kept his number.

I normally give two shits about trivial things like this, but I can't stand that number on a wr's back.

This has to be the best group of deep threat WRs we have ever had. AJ, KW, and ER are all legit deep threats.

7. Chicago Bears - Kevin White, WR, West Virginia

When the Bears dumped Brandon Marshall, it was obvious they needed to upgrade at the wide receiver position. White is the right direction to take with the seventh pick in the draft, but there are some issues with his game. His route running needs improved and he enters the NFL with just one good season of good play in college.

Doesn't sound like White is all that great to me. Should've kept B Marshall & drafted a defensive stud. Cutler can barely get the ball to a decent receiver, let alone one who can't even run a proper route. Good news is we'll probably be picking in the top ten in 2016 NFL draft.

We send them out like
......X
...White X
...Jeffery X
X Bennett

Cutler's throwing into quadruple coverage anyway. He throws to Jeffery. If he overthrows or underthrows it's on target. Can't lose.

Amazed nobody's melting down over the pick saying it shows they're believing in Cutler. Pace was excited about Cutler having another target.
