Any time Kane wants to stop being a show boat with the puck & just shoot it, will be a first.

According to Jesse Rogers, Saad is now practicing with the team.

Anyone else claim the Brandon Saad bandwagon here on CCS?

I'll take the helm, if not.

Well get ready...Rogers is reporting that Saad will play tomorrow.

Kinda surprised it is Saad over Hayes.

Does anyone know if playing Saad in the playoffs burn this year contract wise? Remember, he was returned to juniors after the max number of games. Not that it matters too much at this point.

I believe he has to play 10 total games. Regular season and postseason included.

There was a big debate on this at another Hawks' blog I frequent, but I can't remember the outcome and I'm just too damn lazy to go find it.

You're right and I was wayyy off. He only played in two games. It won't count as a year closer to unrestricted free agency, but if he plays in 8 more, it'll burn a year of his ELC.

Saad played out of his mind in the OHL playoffs. If they think he can play, skate him. Contracts can be worried about later. Win this damn series first.

yea...kane, bolland, toews, keith, too...SELL HIGH!

let's sell a 20 goal scorer making 850k next year! YAY!

I wouldn't take his poosts seriously, it's obvious what his intentions are. If no one knows what I'm referring to read the quenville fined thread

At the same time is he a one hit wonder. He did score almost half of his goals against columbus. sure he is cheap, but is he the type of player that just had a good season? due to his contract you might be able to obtain something for him. a team close to the cap may look to add a player like him because of his contract.

The difference in the players you mention above are the fact that they are established NHL players with an idenitiy. comparing kane, toews, and keith is a bit obsurd. Those are consistent NHL players as Stalberg is not. I know you dont like joe and you jumped on his post without thinking about your player comparisons, and than the people who thanked really never thought it through either. If it was a poster that people respect I bet no one jumps on his post. joes posts are knee jerk reactions, and the replies he gets are knee jerk reactions.

You will not get a 20 goal scorer at his cap hit. Period.

you still swayed from the post about comparing toews, keith, kane. again who is to say he will repeat his numbers from last year? frolik was also a 20 goal scorer and look what happened to him. he scored almost half of his goals against the god awful cbjs. there can be a desent return for a player who is fast and yet inconsistent.

Game might still be too fast for him as it was in those two games to start the year. Hopefully there will be improvement tomorrow night.

Am I wrong to think Jimmy Haynes might be able to help? I don't get why they wouldn't be in.

But where? He doesn't belong in the top 6 and Q is not going to yank Bruno out of the lineup for him. Bollig's spot?
