If done correctly, eating meat is very good for you. I weightlift, my cholesterol is damn near perfect and I eat red meat 3 times a week and other meat the rest of the week.

Cutting out meat from your diet isn't necessarily healthier for you.

People react to food differently, but universally it is the processed foods that do the most harm.

You can eat a plant based diet and still eat shitty processed foods. So just saying you are on a plant based diet isn't necessarily a good thing.

Great, we drafted a soy boy who hasn't been at it long enough to say it works but is. Sounds like a very impressionable kid.

i am not a vegetarian but I have to admit. The vegans are right. Vegan diet is the healthiest for the body and environment. I seriously hope biden bans hamburgers like the right is falsely claiming.

You would literally starve me to death. Or have surgery to cater to such foolishness. Since I'm thinking about refusing any surgery even when it's my own body causing the emergency you would literally be starving me to death.

I asked someone how this animal rights vegan could be so fat. The answer was french fries and sugar are vegetables.

It's hard but as long as you are not replacing it with junk you body feels better.
I went hard core keto a few years ago and ended up eating more meat. I lost a bunch of weight, my heartburn went away, my joint pain went away, my congestion went away, my energy level skyrocketed. I think that processed foods are just terrible for you and any diet that takes away processed foods you are going to feel better.

What employed trainer is still recommending the nutritionists at Ohio St or wherever to prepare soy in 2021?

Give me their job, that nutritionist hasn't read or understood science in a decade.

I don't care if he eats Beyond Meat if he's good.

Chicagoans are going to love him because no one will have to excuse his play for 3 years like Mitch. Ppl won't be searching for excuses every week.
Props to you for calling out Mitch early on, before most anyone I remember. Mitch can be so frustrating because he could at times make lights-out plays, and at other times he left you scratching my head. I wish him well in Buffalo.

The one thing to consider is the inflammation mammal products cause.

Eating mammals was later in our evolution chain...if you look beyond our species and go back further, way further.

Mammal meat causes more inflammation comparatively than fish and poultry.
But has iron and vitamins.

My ideal (but I lack discipline) is birds, worms, and plant protein for your bulk, with mammal once per week and fish once a week unless you have access to mercury clean mountain trout or something. Unfortunately the planet is dirty and overfished.

Thank you.

I do not think Fields is going to have these same issues. I really think he'll hit the ground running like good QBs can today. I'm not saying he'll be like Burrow, Herbert, Murray, or Lamar Jackson...but he'll be closer to them than Mitch.

You would think a program as big as OSU would have professionals but I was wondering if it wasn't a college student or an intern/alum position. I mostly see stupid vegan diet ideas from animal rights, it's not about what's healthier, it's all about meat is murder, since they say vegan and not vegetarian I'm guessing an animal rights nutritionist is behind it.
With a QB salary Fields could easily do it right. If he's sticking to it hopefully the Bears and it being in Chicago hire someone better.

Veganism has been around much much longer than animal rights activism. It's not some new "woke thing" FYI

Humans and their ancestors were opportunistic omnivores. When they could use tools the opportunity to eat bigger animals presented itself. I really don't care at what point we started eating large mammals.

Carbs (and processed carbs being the worst) are much worse for inflammation

Both are bad. I think mammal meat should only be consumed a few time a month. think about how our hunter gatherer ancestors lived. They would eat meat when they get a huge kill and mostly eat fruits and vegetables for most days. processed carbs didnt exist. They would also go hungry for days. That is what our body is accustomed too. that's why i think fasting is also a good idea

Well...it matters in that your organism/species developed without that need or expectation.

Some apes and monkeys are cannabals if they have to be, or if they lose forage days to war.

Because your body didn't evolve to that need or expectation, it isn't as efficient a food source as others is the point. I love "paleo" folks that point out the need to eat 20th century domesticated livestock.

The roll of red meat in our diet and optimum for body is about what you would expect living in the wild.
Mostly fish and poultry, and gorge on the occasional big game after a hunt and load your body up on iron. Then back to fish and poultry for long periods with the occasional jerky.

Intermittent fasting is a natural result of living in the wild, and longer fasts when game becomes scarce.

Not sure we should take this conv much further here, but the human race got significantly stronger, faster and smarter with access to meat.

take it as far as you can, by all means. Enlighten but lets get into the deeper science if we do.
