long ass gibberish
Got my chinese passive sub and chinese home receiver in the other day. it is what it is.
My Chinese 5.1 reciever @ around 60 bucks. Is it worth it? I guess. Would I recommend importing it? Nah. Im sure you could find a capable used name brand with better features for even cheaper. But if you ran across one for cheap, it seems decent enough.. just basic.
the QiSheng 5.1 receiver came well packed, thick cardboard box, reinforced with Styrofoam on all edges.. your standard shit. Good enough to survive an overseas voyage on a boat. Build quality seems decent for a cheap chinese product.. The shell is that cheap case metal, but its solid enough and doesnt flex when picking it up. none of the inputs, screws and shit are loose. cord is snug and being a chinese domestic product i was surprised to find a US plug.
I thought this was 650w but its 900w.
Seems pretty basic with its options to adjust freq and the such. Just your basic L/R, treb/bass and a sub volume adjustment. It does have sound modes like hall, rock, pop, but tbh they all sound similar. has a loud on and off toggle as well. That option does boost it a tad, nothing amazing but you can notice the slight difference. Bluetooth built in is nice.
Tested it with some old kenwood bookshelfs i found in storage. The Qisheng pushed them hard and the audio was clear as day. Kept the volume around 12-17 and it was loud enough. The chinese sub was pounding okay.. but i did notice you had to turn up the sub volume to 64 (max) for it to hit hard though... but then again the deck wasnt at loud volumes as i tested it at night..
i didnt pull out satellite speakers or my powered sub to test... couldnt be bothered moving my desk around but ill get to that.. if this pushes the powered sub with no issues too,i will replace my pioneer receiver for the Qisheng.... just to have two subs going. the 5.1 pioneer has way more functions etc but the system purpose is basically used for music.. im generally in headphones.. if this were being used as a 5.1 for movies, id def stick with the pioneer.
the worst part of the package was the remote. seems like it was made with cheaper plastic.. probably would crack with a few drops.
the passive chinese sub.. build quality is on point.. enclosure feel solid as.. bass being produced was clean and decent. didnt spend tons of time testing lows and the such.. but everything it played was decent enough for the price of $34. beats cheap name brands at its size imo... i have a powered yamaha 8" sub and its comparable to a degree.. the yamaha has better low, lows though... the yamaha freq is rated for those sub 30 lows though. the chinese one isnt but is okay at 1/4 the price????
hooked it up to the right channel to see if i could get full range out of it and it performed nice. as a full range speaker it was loud, crisp and rich.. still hit well being used that way.. id almost be tempted to buy another just to use as left and right fronts.. came with some nice speaker wire too..
on a side note....i ordered two chinese amps the other day and will hook up the corolla at some point this year..
amps ordered....monoblock 6800w wudi one, as shown in an earlier post. i got a rebranded version for cheaper. i was looking for the manufacturer for even cheaper deals and no branding but i couldnt find that exact amp.. pushes 12-1300w rms at 1 ohms and around 900w rms at 2ohms.. i will probably run a single 2 ohm 12.. either an alpine r (750w rms) or an x (900w rms iirc)... if i got a more powerful chinese amp, id probably go sundown or something with even higher rms numbers...
before buying a legit 2-3000w chinese amp, i want to mess with this one
the monoblack amp was was $54 dolla... also order a 4 channel amp for $20. suppose to be 110x4 rms according to the chinese but you never know.. its one of those chinese 4 channels on ebay that claim 7900w or something ridiculous..
the plan with the 4 channel is to power 4 chinese 6.5' i have in the doors now. H Yankas..
i put in 4 h yankas a week or two ago.. one in each door... they are loud, clear and hit okay off of the factory toyota head unit.. they actually shake the rear view mirror a tad.. can only imagine them on an amp.. they take all the power the toyota head unit can throw at it as is... speakers are rated for 500w but 150 or 200w rms.. seen both numbers.. they are $29 for a set of two on amazon. been decent for the price..
i couldnt find much on H Yanka before buying, but their promo on youtube was so cringe, i was instantly sold..
