Back to the China thread sponsored by DA Fozzybear. Whats up with some China Tech...
Speaking of maps. Me Mi Band 7 Pro has these fucking green lines on it when ya run outside... paired with the Mi fitness app something magical happens.
Note: the Mi band 7 on the left the mi band 7 pro on da right. Im def not putting in the work to Photoshop the non pro band out.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro
So Ive been using the Xiaomi Mi 7 band Pro for weeks now.. in conjunction with the MI Fitness App.
Most of my workout activities have been tracked. The Majority of its used to track my treadmill sessions. Sometimes I use it when i do other light activities.. more out of curiosity.. just seeing how it tracks those things. I forgot about the watch during multiple treadmill sessions at the start, but now its part of my routine.
You can auto sync or manually sync your data with the Mi fitness app to keep track.
What Ive noticed on the treadmill.. Distance is off, but its close to the machine. Maybe the watch is correct and the treadmill is out of calibration?? The watch does have dual band GNSS sensor, which helps with accuracy.. however, im not sure it benefits from that while inside on a treadmill. Regardless, after a treadmill session when ending the workout you can calibrate the distance to match another number.
The added dual band GNSS sensor with support for GPS, QZSS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS positioning also lets you track runs without needing your paired phone. However, my phone is with me.

Ive been having issues with sleep again. Well I gotz it better for like a week and a half but now its back to my shit normal again.
On day 68 of me running program, i go to bed early and try to get 7-10 hours of sleep, right.. i wake up a few hours later and its 11 pm.. cant fall back asleep.. feel like getting a run in just in case im too tired that day and weasel me way out of me schedule.. aint me off day jyall.. however its too late to get the treadmill going.. a 6'9 690 pound guy pounding on a belt isnt quiet.. I decide to venture out into the world with me Mi band 7 pro and to make that maiden voyage.
I didnt set a pace on the watch you can get reminders or set a virtual pacer.. highest pace time one can set is 10 minutes though... I wanted to see how well the dual band was... ive driven my car on a route and knew the exact distance and the watch matched that. it left green lines on the screen after the workout was over.. painting a path i ran.. when you sync the mi app with it, it pulls up a map and drops those lines on the route you just ran.. was nice.
idk how accurate the sensors are for everything else.. im sure certain watches are better at this and that.. or maybe they are all flawed.. i know if you want a better hr monitor.. a watch generally isnt the recommend.. rather a chest strap..
IDk how it tracks calories.... seems to be a total and not just active.. seems like its calculating normal calories burned plus activities.. idk how i feel about that.. not like any device really knows anyway.. maybe they could ballpark it, but everything is doing just that... ballparking
As a watch i guess its okay, cause it tells ya the time... but i dont wear it as such.. i downloaded a few different watch faces, but i only use it during fitness. so i cant comment on battery life, or sleep monitoring either.. i turn it on before my sessions and off after i sync me data... after you turn it off the only way to turn it on is by connecting the magnetic power cord.. annoying but not a deal breaker
My only complaint is no lte option, would be nice to swap my sim card and put it in the watch and have options of downloading certain apps for music..
Also, running in a hoodie at midnight in a white dominate burb as a mixed breed may not be recommended.. however.. wearing a mi band pro 7 may help defuse any potential situations... it'll show officers the youre serious about fitness... that AND SOME NEON MIZUNOS..
I paid less than western retail, but fer 89 bucks new in da west on amazon.. i say it does what it needs to at a basic level.... if you need something more advance.. well go get that...howev, another quality Xiaomi product and banging piece of china tech...
