Sale I can believe. Quintana? He is very solid and when he is on. He is just as good as top 2 pitchers. But no way I put him in top 5.

I do not believe so. I think that it was Stone. I do not remember what kind of metric that they were using for pitcher effectiveness but by that metric, Quintana, I believe was ranked fifth over-all for left handed starting pitchers. Sale was right behind Kershaw.

If Sale's arm was tired or he was hurting, then for sure, I would shut him down. That is not the case. Sitting him would be something that he himself would protest and rightly so.

All that I know, is that Quintana with a good team, would probably be somewhere around 13-5 right now. Read somewhere that he hasn't walked more than 3 guys in any of his starts this year. He will have now pitched over 200 innings two years in a row. Maybe one of the biggest steals ever from the Yankees.
