What kind of questions do you have? I'm a sales manager at a Chrysler dealership and I can answer any questions you have.

Just wondering if anyone had any problems with them etc..if they liked the car, or not..

I was wondering why Chrysler doesnt offer a limited slip differential in that car?..Its a rear wheel drive, and could probably use it...I know they offer AWD, but thats a lot of money.

I was amused to see that car-max sells new cars down here..They had a black 300c on their lot. The price was really low..I went to see it, and it was covered in dirt inside and out..I had to use the wipers to push the dirt off the windshield before the test drive..reminded me of how the wipers would push snow off the windshield in chicago. I took the test drive, but passed on the car.

When I commented on the condition of the car, the salesman said.." we can wash the car in no time"..I told him, " I dont have 6 hours to wait cause this car needs a detail" Then I left.

While I buy American cars only-after the whole Auto bailout, I will only be buying Fords until further notice.

The 350ci Hemi that's in the 300C is an extremely reliable motor, especially compared to the Pentastar option that's available in the 300 Limited and the 300S (we just got word that they're recalling the Pentastar on all the vehicles equipped with it). On top of that, the Hemi has fuel-saver technology now, which unlike the systems employed by Honda and several other manufacturers, doesn't "shut down" half of the cylinders -- it simply reduces fuel delivery through the injectors, which doesn't wear out your internals and helps prolong engine life.

The standard features available on the 300C are totally worth it, if you ask me. I'd also look at the 300C with the luxury series trim package -- you'll be hard pressed to find any car with that kind of fit and finish for under $50K.

I like the luxury trim package, but the steering wheel is big and clumsy IMO..Other than that..Ive noticed the the 300 interior isnt up to par with my 99 Cad's

My last few cars have been 2 Caddy STS and an Audi A5. I did look at the 300 Chrysler. Noticed that the fit and finish has greatly improved and think it's every bit as nice as the Caddy STS. Firmer ride and the seats are very firm. Love the interior of the 300. I would recommend the Chrysler dealer in McHenry. My wife leases a Town And Country every 3 years and we have gone there 3 times. Great guys and they always have the lowest price even though they are a small dealership. They even forgave the 1700 miles my wife was over on her lease last time.

Thanks Omelet...Unfortunately I live in NC now... Selling my 99 Cad is going to be very emotional for me..I loved that car, but its getting old, and repairs aint cheap... I saw an Audi SUV yesterday and it was nice, but I want a car with a V8...Chrysler and Lincoln are the only 2 sedans I know of...And I dont like the Town Car. I think Ill get the 2013 300 AWD. I want to stay American..

The Audi SUVs are awesome and that 6 cylinder engine is very strong. The whole deal on Audis is the Quatro AWD system which is the best in the world and the fit and finish. No such thing as an Audi that creaks and rattles. I would drive it before you say you like the V8 better. Handling is out of this world

All the foreign automakers have plants in the US.

Youre right...but the company itself is foriegn so in essence, your money is going over seas.

The 300 is actually made in Canada, but Chrysler is still an American company. That matters to me, but I can see where it doesnt to others

as a sales manager of 10 years in the car business as well I have to go against Josmin :)

Alot of transmission issues have been linked to that car. One main reason that we really low ball anyone trading one of those in. I see a ton at the auction cheap as **** and its for a reason....the transmission. The cars looks inside and out are pretty cool and the car looks awesome as a whole. I just worry about their transmissions.

They just came out with an 8 speed tranny for the V6...The Hemi still gets the 5 speed

I've sworn off the Chrysler/Dodge name period because of transmissions problems. I've know way too many people that have had problems.

My wife's sister and her husband both had mini-vans with transmission problems. My parents had a Dodge Dynasty with transmission problems. A friend of mine had an Intrepid with transmission problems.

The parents of one friend had 3 transmissions go out on a brand new Durango.

We even had a guy that worked at (and retired from) a Chrysler plant say to stay away from them.

Those issues were in the first generation of the "new" Chrysler 300s, from '04 to '10. I agree 100% that there were plenty of transmission issues abroad with those applications. I'm a Toyota guy at heart -- the only reason why I came to Chrysler was for the paycheck. Trust me, the only Chrysler product I'd own before 2011 would be a Cummins-powered Ram HD. And that's simply because of the engine.

I will say this: the mechanical improvements seen in the new Chrysler products since their marriage with Fiat have really impressed me. I still wouldn't put the quality in the same category as Toyota, Honda or Subaru, but stylistically, they're much better. With all of this technology being new, it's tough for me to objectively point to quality issues since there simply hasn't been enough time to assess it.

You do know that American car's break down the most and die at 100k miles right?
