To me, he made it on name recognition. He has made plenty of strides on the defensive end throughout his career, but in the Finals, he is not showing his mettle at all. I personally do not think he is a better defender than Ronnie Brewer. So I don't put too much merit on that list.

I'm sure the MVP feels differently.

Ding ding ding!

Finally, you understand what a true debate is all about. You say your point, not attack. I'm glad the light bulb finally went off......

Start by trying to say something not completely Special person and we can start from there.

I'll wait for you to catch up.

I knew my comment would have went over your head....

My comment you quoted had nothing to do with "respect" for your opinion. Nothing went "over my head". I was simply agreeing with CodeBlue's point. Simply because I choose not to handle your with kiddy gloves when I respond to you isn't a "point".

You're not substantiating your claims at all. You're simply saying Lebron isn't as good a defender as Ronnie frickin Brewer and not qualifying it. You're too busy making Special person claims to do so apparently.

Saying LeBron James makes teams based on his name is laughable especially considering he's been in contention for DPOY honors 2 of the last 3 seasons and has made 3 All-NBA defense teams. James has been "a name" since he stepped on an NBA floor. Why wasn't he making All-NBA defense then?

You wasting all that space to say you don't agree with me. Yes everything LeBron does is magnified, when he has a good game, its hailed as the best ever, he makes a couple chasedown blocks, its the best defensive play ever, but if you watch him he just plays the passing lanes and is bad on post defense, and if he gets attacked off the dribble, like in the NBA Finals, he looks like an average defender at best. But he isn't the only one getting beat off the dribble on the Heat. Everyone gets beat at times, but to get beat by "non superstars and allstars" like he has, constantly in this Finals series, in MY opinion doesn't make him an elite defender, a good one, who I think is still improving to one day maybe being that, but to me he is not elite, as of this date. Now if you for some reason think that im merely making claims, than we need to do each other a favor and not respond to each other's comments, because I will never state something to merely state, I always have reasoning. You just don't agree with it. So you discredit, big difference.

Now do us both a favor and watch the game because I refuse to respond to anymore of your "Special person" posts. You simply are just a nerd trying to act hard online lol, you are comical.

Half right.,

STILL not getting the entire point.

Come on.

Try harder.

You don't want me to respond?

Don't post.

Pretty simple.

Yeah I'm acting real "hard". All my e-threats and muscle flexing..oh wait....

:nelson:

You keep mentioning the Finals and keep ignoring the first two games of the series when he shut down Terry. Terry had a nice Game 5. Great. He was underwhelming the first few games and it still ignores James shutting Rose's MVP ass down against the Bulls.

But yeah, let's look how he's has played for a few games against JJ Barea but Ignore games 1-3 against Terry and The entire Bulls series sans Game 1. That's REALLY sound logic.

Lebron James will never ever ever ever ever be even remotely close to having the legacy of Jprdan..There names should never be used in the same sentence....Lebron is 0-2 in career NBA finals...Even teaming up with 2 allstars can't get this idiot aa championship..The guy can't even seem to be able to buy a championship..Even with the refs backing him up all through the playoffs...Frankensteins Libich monster is an utter failure..

Congratulations to lebron james. He has accomplished something Michael Jordan never did. He lost in the NBA Finals, not once...but twice!

I rest my case.

The difference between His Airness and LeBron James is pretty simple: LeBron James was crowned the Chosen One in middle school, coddled his entire AAU/HS career. LeBron never faced any obstacles that motivated or challenged him to develop that killer instinct. At no point in Jame's career has any friend, teammate, coach or GM told LeBron he wasn't good enough. He was content to ride off his god-given talents.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan, on the other hand, was cut from his varsity team in High School. Someone once told him that he wasn't good enough in basketball. It ticked him off so much, that one defining moment gave born to a unyielding competitive urge to prove everyone wrong. Jordan developed a competitive drive that was unparalleled in the history of sports. That killer instinct was what drove him to outwork everyone of his peers--in the off-season, in practice, on the court. It was what allowed him to go 6 for 6 in the NBA Finals, win 6 Finals MVPs, and average over 30 pts in his playoff career.

Bottom line, LeBron James will never be MJ. LeBron may be bigger, stronger, faster. But the fundamental difference between LeBron and Jordan is and will always be Jordan getting cut in HS, while LeBron got the rockstar treatment.

This is all that needs to be said right here.
