It's especially funny cause I figure, if you're on the fence, you're on the fence cause you're not happy with the product. So, I would think you have two cases:
- McCarthy had a hell of a season. I think I'm changing my mind.
- McCarthy sucked ass. I'm done.
Though, I guess to be fair, maybe he always wanted to retain him and was gambling on bringing the asking price down. I imagine that absolutely never works though.

Here's a reasonable take to everyone who says to stop believing everything on Twitter:
Rumors are a part of every coaching hiring cycle.
If you don't like rumors, DON'T FUCKING READ THEM.
Skip over those posts.
But don't be such an ignorant asshole that you tell others what they should and shouldn't be doing. Some people like those things and it keeps things entertaining.
And just because they like those things doesn't mean they put 100% stock in it nor does someone posting a rumor mean they 100% believe it. This is a forum. It's for discussion. Rumors are excellent fodder for discussion. Telling people to ignore discussion over what they are essentially in a forum for is dipshit behavior.
If you hate it so much, make your own thread and talk about your own things. Otherwise let people read what they want to read and enjoy what they want and enjoy and STFU.
