It seems like it's funny that people think a specific degree = specific job or career success. I majored in Humanities and Writing, never had a job in related fields, and my team performs better than my peers with degrees in Finance. One guy I work with is going back to school to get his MBA. Have know idea how that's gonna help him but whatevs.

smh

So four years of studying forklift operations and you somehow found your calling as a history professor?

You mean you went to college and you didn't get a job directly relating to what you went to college for? I just find this highly unlikely because I have buddies that went to college and they all have desk jobs or work in cubes.... so idk. Not very bro but maybe you're nothing like my bros?

Lol, I'm actually chilling with a few of them and we're laughing at all your dumb, attention whore posts. Hahahahaha nerd

I wish. I majored in Project Management and ended up in accounting.

Al Bundy?

Engineering was a great field when I began at Devry but as soon as my class graduated there had been a massive influx of engineers and they were getting paid shit. I wasn't about to bust my ass for 30K when I could make more selling shoes in my dad's business. Some of my friends took over a year to get jobs.

you seem to know a ton about history, i wasn't being snarky.
Hence why I said "I wish" in response to the history professor. My friends tell me I should become a history teacher.

What Devry at the time called CET, computer engineering technology which more than anything else is programming with a side of hardware. I also greatly lost interest in the field. It just lost its luster for me. I already feel as if I need to change jobs though. Been working for my dad since I was 12 and I am 30. That is a significant chunk of my life doing the same shit and its gotten old.

That's probably why I caught on to the forklift so fast, it's just in my blood.

College was great for all the partying and whatnot, but as far as helping me advance in life, it was a waste of my fucking time and my parents money

Seriously, if I could go back in time I would be like "bruh, just gimme like 100K I will save for retirement and I will keep working for you"
