Comcast Just Called

So Comcast (or Concast) just called and tells me my 12 month promotional deal is expiring and my bill is going up but they can get me on another 12 month promotional which I realize is a Triple Play deal and they are adding promotional Xfinity Voice to my package, but the bill will be cheaper for the next year.

Now I know their con works if I don't notice and then have Xfinity voice and I am paying for it in a year, but I am just going to change my package again in 12 months or threaten to cancel and switch to Uverse.... does anyone else go through this continuous bullshit with Comcast?

Nope, but I've had so many issues in the past with them that I used have a direct number for one of their VPs in case I needed to ***** about something. Remind me next time you have any actual problems with them and I'll see if I can find it; that dude actually got shit done.

Nope, they won't even give me the deals anymore. They know my area has no choice in cable providers.

A friend of mine plays that game every 6 months. Hopefully our new house will be in a neighborhood that is CenturyLink capable and we can ditch Comcast for good. **** that noise

We have Cox/Century Link where I live and I get internet from them. Every time I talk to those fucks they try to sell me cable tv and a phone line. I dont have a goddamn TV and who the **** wants a landline anymore?

I do the rig to get internet specials though. Every year, my rates go up and I have to call them to tell em I can't afford it and ima get DSL.

The odd thing was this lady was clearly trying to con me.... like she did not mention Xfinity voice one time on the entire call and then when I had to setup the Xfinity Voice emergency stuff at the end she was bullshitting me saying its just something you have to do because the modem they are sending has a phone jack on the back of it.

I guess this shit works well enough for 99% of their customers who are too lazy to call and change their package or threaten to switch, but **** them I am getting Snorchy in like 11 months.

Ole.... don't just pay them w/e they charge you brah..... put your Tywin Lannister face on and call them up and start making threats till the bill goes down and you have HBO and Showtime for free.

I just get basic so I can get the internet for nothing. No voice package here. They haven't jacked up my price from the promo deal over 18 months ago because they probably think that anyone with just basic channels is a mothersnorch who will snorch the shit out of them in a snorchbeat.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say 70-80% of Comcast customers fit this profile...after all they and Time Warner are the most hated companies in America:
