I got a call yesterday from a man who identified himself as being from Blue Cross & Blue Shield

He asked me if I would have a few minutes on Monday to sit down with a representative of BC & BS of NC to discuss my benefit package and to answer any questions I might have about my coverage

I smelled a fish right away as I am not with BC & BS of NC..I'm with BC & BS of Illinois

I then asked him if there was a mistake and I told him about the Illinois thing vs the NC thing..He then got nervous..I then asked him if he was actually with BC & BS or was he an independent insurance agent

He confessed, that he was an agent looking for business


Shame on me for not writing the idiots name and phone number down..

If I had to take a guess, I'd say 70-80% of Comcast customers fit this profile...after all they and Time Warner are the most hated companies in America:

I fucking hate Comcast. To the heart of the issue....



These ******* have zero incentive to create a competitive product / pricing...because there is literally no fucking competition. To make matters worse, we have a career cable lobbyist running the fucking FCC. Unbelievable.

Shit makes me mad. I need a cigarette.

Of course there's no competition, Comcast has bought most of it. They have no reason not to rip people off. The cable business is a microcosm of corporate tyranny.

Some people do claim it genuinely is, however. Something about government granted 'noncompete clauses' being a part of capitalism is a complete contradiction.

We've got a city WiFi...but the service sucks major dick. There is talk of a fiber service soon to be offered...but I'll probably have to give them my first born.

Before he got a chance to hang up you should have screamed "THE DEMON GOBLINS LIVE IN MY SOUP WOMAN" and then slammed the phone down on the hanger (I assume you have an old timey telephone cause you are old)

He would have been confused for the rest of the day like "Was he yelling at me? Do I sound like a woman? Was he yelling at his wife? Or daughter? Wtf?"

Friend of mine did something like that and ended up paying a comcast bill of 500$ a month or something insane like that. Comcast will **** you any which way they can.

I'm curious what rates you guys are paying. Like bot, I have no TV, but I pay $90/month for internet (25Mbps down, 3Mbps up, 750GB cap) and home phone with 500 mins of long distance.

Google and Verizon are working on building a fiber optic infrastructure at least.
