Don’t you think in hindsight that’s not a healthy attitude to have? I mean they might as well just fold up the franchise and give up if they thought like that.

They literally changed nothing from the development plan from Justin to Caleb outside of the weapons that Caleb got.

So if you're seeing a TJ Maxx Center, Nate Davis and Tevin + all of the other bullshit dudes they put in front of these dudes and expect a different result. Trading the pick and getting more assets was a hope that they'd solidify the OL before just throwing a motherfucker back there to get killed.

100% I hated that they kept Flus and it’s the main reason I want Poles gone. You can look at my history I was mad day one of Flus and was attacked here per usual.

You don’t need to trade your #1 pick to solidify the oline. Poles has had plenty of chances to draft good guards and centers and just doesn’t do it.

Williams is certainly the real deal as far as being a quality starting NFL QB. He's already proved that.

The question is if he can become consistent enough and work on his weaknesses to become elite. Personally I see no reason why he cant, but like I noted in a different thread his floor is Jay Cutler...which considering the past QB's since then is pretty great to have as a floor for a rookie
I feel a lot of his troubles, holding the ball, missing on the long throws, are a combination of the line and one of the shittyest offensive schemes I’ve ever seen. And no run game to take the pressure off him.

In the early games he was being blitzed from every team and he had no help from his OC how to deal with it. If anyone has noticed he has been very good lately at dealing with blitzes. Might be because of the different OC or maybe he’s just figured it out. Not sure. But he adapts, he’s smart. If his floor is Cutler then a good coach will have him too 5.

He has drafted and gone after FA line guys. It’s just that he doesn’t know what a bonafide line man looks like. That’s why he never made it as a pro.

Exhibit A

it was time to move on from fields. He isn’t the guy. Never was. Never will be. Now bears have a better quarterback. Oh no!!
nowhere in this back and forth has anyone stated otherwise, yet here you are still feeling the need to repeat it over and over

Exhibit A of FDS

Is this you admitting you were wrong in wanting to keep Fields?

sure, CW is better than JF.

now, explain why you and everyone else bring fields up constantly when anyone critiques CW?? why cant someone be critical of CW without it turning into a JF1 rehash??

thank you.

I don’t think it’s like that all the time, it depends on the post, and the poster. If you don’t think some people are excited with each CW flaw so they can justify their old opinion I don’t know what to tell you.

It would be the exact opposite if they did stick with Fields. It would be all positive about CW around here.

It won’t stop until they start to win, winning heals everything.
