Great... Just great. He'll come back and be the next Cy Young Winner.

Well that makes another he has in common with a Cy Young winner, but unless he goes on a Gagne like save streak in the future I don't think we have to worry about him winning the Cy Young.

Sorry, I should've elaborated. My outburst was because the Boston media won't let the story die, not because I think the Cubs are at fault or have to give up any more. I don't see how the Cubs could be at fault given that Boston's docs had the time to perform a physical and okay the trade before it was announced.

Cubs get Jair Bogaerts from Sawx in Epstein Deal

Raw power kid. Pretty bad on defense. Really young.

The bad on defense part suggests why they put him at 1B and why someone with those types of stats was allowed to come back in the "trade". Age 19 season this year so I guess he's going to be quite the project.

I just hope he can become good enough to be sent in a trade for pitching or another position of need down the road.

I'm surprised Boston would send the Cubs a 19 year old prospect back for Theo.

I know he's raw, so was Castro at 19 and most other prospects.

Also the fact that he put up those stats in Dominician Summer ball and not stateside. He is a long term project that seems to be a high risk/high reward type that was the best we could have probably hoped for in this deal. Now Boston just needs to accept that they okayed the deal after reviewing Carpenter's medical records, and we can finally be done with this.

Difference between Castro and this guy is that Castro was already stateside at age 19, and went on to tear up High A and AA at age 19. Whereas, Bogaerts might not even make it stateside by age 19.

So, we got a younger Josh Vitters with less potential?
