One day GMs will learn that in the salary cap era long term, big money contract deals to goalies almost never work and almost always handicap your ability to keep a great team in front of him together. Unfortunately that day was not today.

I know Crawford has won the Cup and everything but I must agree with Variable here.

It is scary I agree with Variable as well. I'm going to go see a doctor about it.

Give me a break using khabi as an example. He had zero team in front of him and when he finally did they lost in the wcf. Maybe too long but not too huge imo.

Hey remember that one time Khabi won with Tampa, yeah he was lights out almost all year. Had a hipcup towards the end of the season where Grahmme got a lot of starts but come playoff time he was absolutely stellar.

Yea but that's not how he was used as an example.

You can not really use Khabi at ALL and his contract because of the complete SHIT team he was behind. **** is top D pair were Cullimore and Aucoin the first 2 years.

When Khabi got a team in front of him finally, the youngest in the NHL as well, he helped them get to the WCF's.

If I remember he was battling either back or groin injuries, or both that season. Patrick Lalime as the back up.

Someone needs to dig up that old thread with the Khabi pics photoshopped with a beach ball, etc. going in the net...

Or was that lost in the site change-over?
