Given that the Cubs were only going with rebound candidates I don't think it a surprise they missed on many of the major league acquisitions. But tell me what good it does to have your best player being a setup guy?

Camp ERA about 4 now. DeJesus OBP keeps going down, down, down, down, down and down. I understand that Marshall doesnt help this team. Sorry but he hitting under .259 now. But to say Cubs went for Prospects for him is just not true. Theo tried to help the MLB team by dealing him and he failed.

Camp is 3.53 ERA right now, and DeJesus still has one of the highest OBP amongst leadoff men. The strategy they took for this year was trying to win the lottery. You don't tend to win on too many of those lottery ticket.
Theo took the best deal he thought he could get for a setup guy. Relievers aren't worth a ton no matter how good they are.
