I always found it funny people talked about Prince Fielder weight so much, but never Miguel Cabrera. I saw them standing next to each other one day and Miggy looks like the bigger man. I mean he is much taller, but he is wider than Prince. If Prince is 300 then Miggy isn't far behind.
They also aren't going to win a gold glove any time soon.

That would surprise me. So much so I think it's a lie. Heyward is athletic not thin, but what are we listing Schwarbaby at for this lie?

If Kyle is 6' he has to weigh 240

FYI, ChicagoCubs.com listing Heyward at 6'5" 240 lbs. Kyle at 6'0" 235 lbs.

Kyle's numbers are close to NFL linebackers...which he physically resembles as well.

Too soon. And fucked up to kick people after something like this.

You can hate the Cubs, the Cubs fans and still feel terrible for Kyle. Baseball itself lost a hero. How can you not like that guy? His attitude? His drive to prove he can catch. The unreasonable raw power.

It's a fucking tragedy still sinking in. The reason I had to kick the Cubs fans here in this thread over it was the spirit of this thread was gleeful Cubs douches so antsy and eager to kick around some depressed Sox fans.

Individuals who need a good laughing at, Though I feel guilty involving this level of just pure tragedy.

It depends entirely on the character of the fan. My buddies who are the non-obnoxious Cubs fans, I sent a text along the lines of "man, that sucks" when Schwarber went down. But the trolly, douchy Cubs fans I know? The texts were something like "maybe if Schwarber knew how to play OF that would've happened what a fucking idiot."

I think the vast majority of Sox fans and Cubs fans are decent folk. But the small portion who ruin it deserve to be trolled at every turn, and a season-ending injury to a young, exciting talent is perfect fodder for the cannon.

Yeah, I guess my clarification was cuz it's not about Kyle. You never want to win due to injury.

I just don't think Cubs fans are putting some blame on coaching for this accident and I think they should consider it.

What decisions they make will show us the guilt they may have and how they see this thing.

Baseball lost a young hero for a year. It sucks. I blame Maddon and staff for not seeing this possibility, I never want to see Schwarber running that fast toward a wall again, what happened was freak but just watch what happens if you keep getting that freight train going at air rail speeds.

Quoted for the mother fucking truth.

Nah, I think argument is dumb, myself. Criminals will always target the nicer areas. Is this supposed to make Sox fans think the Cell is a nicer area than Wrigley? Whatever. I think it's dumb coming from both sides.

I don't think anyone would look at those statistics and think one area is 'nicer' than the other. I do however think the statistics dispel a widely held belief about the area surrounding the Cell.

I guess you missed the point. Like I said, it's dumb for Cubs fans to say the latter about the Cell, and it's dumb for Sox fans to post the former. As far as being nicer.... let's say someone visits Chicago for the 1st time, and is impartial to either the Sox or the Cubs, but they want to go to a Baseball game, where exactly do you think they'll want to go? To the Cell, or to Wrigley? Say no more.

Impartial? White Sox. Better stadium better food. But there are very, very few impartials.

Well, I think most people would want to go to Wrigley, imo. By the time the Cubs are done with their total renovation, Wrigley will be one of the biggest attractions to people visiting Chicago. I highly doubt people will be going to the Cell with the intention of eating better. LOL.

Are the Cubs changing the seats to point toward the diamond? If not, no, a baseball fan is not going to choose Wrigley Field. Many of the changes the Cubs are making are for players and safety of the fans. Wrigley has a long way to go to catchup to the Cell.

That said, from a historic standpoint, Wrigley is a must see.

With all due respect Brett, I don't care to go on with these silly debates. It seems just another thing for Sox fans to go on about the Cubs, just as some Cubs fans bring up the crime stuff. But as far as attendance, it seems your argument is a little bias. Sometimes, the proof is in the pudding. Do they serve pudding at the Cell?

The area around the Cell is a frigging parking lot. How much crime is going to occur in a parking lot?

Dude, you brought it up, not me.

Yeah, we don't have the fan base that the Cubs do. Not even remotely close. Your fan base is 10X ours. But the numbers do not fit the hypothetical that you proposed and I provided evidence on why one would choose the Cell over Wrigley. One game only? Wrigley Field for history. Three games? One at Wrigley and the next two at the Cell. It's just a better park. You should go and verify that for yourself.

I'm sorry I went near Kyle. I think most Sox fans here took the high road and didn't use the opportunity in that painful of a moment.

I went nuts the day Rose and Kane both went down.

Like with Kane, I hope some silver lining emerges and this is part of a more positive path for the Cubs and Kyle leading down the road.

Nobody would deny that the Cubs have more fans, but let's also admit that a decent number - being fair I'll say 8% of most Cub home game game attendance is there for the Wrigley atmosphere and not the Cubs games. Especially during the weekend.
