I love that when a Cardinal does this it is trying to win. I recall when Alex Gonzalez made a similar play against a Brewer there was a significant stink raised about him trying to hurt an opposing player.

I didn't see it. So I can't assume that is why trying to hurt a player or not. I don't have a problem sliding hard into another player at second to break up a double play. However, it does appear in the still that he was pretty signficantly outside of the basepath and his only goal was to take out Castro. Perhaps I am overly sensitive to a guy take a run at the only real positive the Cubs have, but I don't like it when guys are that far out of the basepaths (from what I could tell on a single frame, so if he was truly in line with the bag then it is different).

They havent been playing good for over 2 years. Im sorry but allowing 12 unanswered runs dont happen alot. So yes its a joke that Hendry has untouchable players on a team that has 2nd worst record in baseball. Only untouchable should be Castro. How can you or anyone argue that Baker (utility IF that gets 150 AB) , Byrd an AVG CF that wont help this team now or future, Pena (who only good at hitting HR), and any other player u want to try and throw out there

Molina would be great pickup but i doubt STL lets him go. Could you imagine if Cubs sign Pujols and Molina. Never hear the end of it from STL fans. Espicially if somehow Cubs won World Series, they would just say it was cause of Cardinal players lol
