Soriano got it done. Too bad it didn't leave the park.

It was more flare than line drive.

Well we only managed a run. I am guessing Castro goes back out there, but it will be interesting to see.

That call to have Castro sac bunt is really, really perplexing to me because you know Matheny was going to walk LaHair even if it was successful. This is as bad as Don Baylor sac bunting in front of Sosa.

Castro still out there. So much for correcting things when you see them.

I was hoping it was Castro doing it on his own (still haven't switched on the game) but if it was a called bunt then it was definitely stupid and a front office of brainiacs would be furious if they actually gave a shit about this season.

The only infield replacement that makes sense at this point is Cardenas (who sucks defensively) or Baker (who hits like .000001 against righties) so it's not like Sveum had much of a choice but to let Castro keep plugging away.

No it was a sacrifice bunt. He missed the first time and that was why Berkman was able to charge it so aggressively on the second time. Castro was real slow out of the box is what Zan and I were complaining about as well.

Cardenas could have been plugged in and Barney moved to SS, but I understand why he didn't do it. Still just frustrating to watch at this point.

I think I could see Castro being benched as a "day off" thing without alerting the media to anything disciplinary.

Yeah that would be a good call as well. Barney and Cardenas as the double play combo tomorrow?
