The trainer spent an awfully long time with Barney who got the brunt of it apparently. But yeah probably just the wind being knocked out of him.

Another reason for Dews to hate Len Kasper. Len just mentioned Reed Johnson hitting a homerun and getting hit by pitch in the next at bat. Then offhandedly saying if your Jeff Samardzija you are head hunting.

More than that. His last error was May 5, and he has only made one error since April 21st. He has also been making more spectuclar plays like last night as well.

He looks more comfortable. Maybe that accounts for some of his hitting woes, is the concentration on improving defense.

I wouldn't be surprised either way to be honest, but probably a pinch hitter since he is close to a 100.
