Most pitchers wouldn't attempt to steal on a pitchout and be thrown out even if the umpire didn't call it.

Cubs had 5.91 ERA over 9 game losing streak. Pitching not been exactly great. I do think that more of bullpen sucking though.

The Cubs starters have generally been good. Garza got blown up once which really hurt, but Shark, Dempster, Maholm and Wood have all pitched well.
