Someone on our Facebook page said they had tornado warnings in Cincinnati so this might be canceled after all.

The storms moved out, and it sounds like they're going to get it in.

They need to start the game soon so Pat and Keith can get on the air. All these dumbass callers are making me facepalm so much my head's about to cave in.

The host is trying to explain to everyone why they can't bring up Rizzo or Jackson now, why they're not just going to dump/trade/whatever Soto, Soriano and Marmol, the usual stuff.

Looks like the storms have passed but there's another front moving in. They might be waiting for that one to pass too.

Will be interesting to see how Sveum adjusts the rotation. The Cubs could just go with Shark and Maholm in the series and push back Dempster's return from the DL, but since Maholm has a history of injury it would seem likely that perhaps they would bump him back a few days as well. It will be interesting to see what Sveum decides to do with this opportunity.

I don't think he wants to mess with the rotation too much because the pitchers shouldn't have TOO much time off. I think he probably just lets Samardzija start tomorrow, Maholm on Thursday and Dempster leads off LA on Friday unless they cram in a doubleheader.

Samardzija will face Arroyo on Wed. #Cubs #Reds. Dempster on Thursday, Maholm on Friday vs #Dodgers

Not a bad idea.

I could see Maholm getting pushed back a spot as the other option. I could see it going Shark-Dempster-Maholm. Again Maholm getting the fifth spot was due to concerns about injury, though he certainly has earned that fifth spot with his performance. I think Rice is most likely right that Sveum will just roll the rotation like the plan was, but just thought it would be something to talk about.

Sucks that the game was PPD.

Hope we can get one out of these two.
