Thought it'd be a good way to reduce clutter in the main forum during the regular season. Just trying things out.

Don't get that reasoning, but I'm fine with it. I'd prefer the old way though so I don't have to go into another forum to view the rest of the stuff (Fire Forum scenario is different as those are completely different subjects).

I have faith in the decision anyway though. :hi5:

A rumors forum will pay off in the long run, especially in the off season. There are new rumors every day about the Cubs looking at this person or that person. Or the Cubs have interest in trading this guy to that team ect. Posting all of them in a single forum would bury all the actual news or opinion threads that get started. This way, if you want to hear what the latest gossip is about what might happen, you have a single place to find it in and don't have to hunt for it.

I actually like it because on every rumor we can post a thread and have a discussion. Instead of posting it in the off-season thread and people may lose it and by-pass the rumor. Meaning there will be no discussion too.

I like change, but I'm also a Conservative Republican.

Ya, that change was noted long ago, but kind of faded away from the headlines... good to see it brought back up. :hi5:

I never thought about the one game playoff forcing the wildcard to burn their ace before the start of the series against the team with the best record in the league. That certainly gives a reason for having the 1 game play in game for the postseason, i.e. making it harder for the wildcard team to win.
