Given that yesterdays loss was on Theo, should he get the praise today for Hammel, Bonifacio, Olt and Strop?

Sweet!!!

The team is now on pace to win 54 games this season.

What an overwhelming success!!

What I get out of this forum is that if you aren't happy about the team having the worst three year period in the history of the franchise and are tired of the team being the laughing stock of major league baseball and are skeptical that what have been so far empty promises will turn into a fairy tale where everyone lives happily ever after, you can't be a fan of the team.

Because everyone knows that only true fans are totally unrealistic fanboys who think it is raining when ownership is pissing all over them.

Keep fightin' the good fight, pat. Some day, with enough persistence and determination, you'll get through to all these cretins and finally they'll start to hate this team and organization like you do.

I don't hate the team.

I hate watching the team lose 95+ games a season, which you seem to enjoy and think is great.

I hate idiots like yourself who believe what they are told to believe.

Lol... so because I don't whine and complain about every single thing this team and organization does, I enjoy and love losing 95+ games a season? I think you may be mistaking me for some more of the imaginary people you constantly rip.

I would love for this team to be dominating right now but the fact of the matter is that there's nothing you or I can do to change how it's being run (besides not supporting the team with our wallets [which I'm already doing and imagine you are as well]).

However, because I love the team regardless and am also not a masochist, I've decided to try and be excited about the few positive things going on. I'd consider complaining a bit more but, since you've clearly got the monopoly on that, I figured there's no real point.

Pretty sure I never said any single part of that.

How many ppl on this forum have said anything close to that? There's a HUGE difference between supporting your team and hoping for the best, and criticizing the most miniscule of moves b/c of your own ideals/vendetta.

But, hate away. No shits are given.

Still trying to figure out why these 2 are still posting in here..
Haven't their CBS buddies found a new place for them to spread their wisdom at yet or have they been banned everywhere ?

I recommend the ignore feature. It's so much more pleasant here :)

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  2. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Chicago State Cougars
  2. DePaul Blue Demons
  3. Illinois-Chicago Flames
  4. Loyola Ramblers
  5. Northern Illinois Huskies
  6. Northwestern Wildcats
Nope. Hendry. And everyone's favorite Cub fan and Bud man, Harry Carey. And Ron Santo's stumps. And Fergie Jenkins' passport. And Sammy's bleached skin. And anyone ever associated with the Cubs organization that isn't Theo Epstein.

So Hoyer or McLeod? :cubstroll:

Nope. Like I said, I can handle rebuilding with "prospects" or AAAA filler.

I can't handle signing past their prime vets and expecting them to turn back the clock to be good again.

Yet you constantly criticize Theo and his plan, which is exactly that - stop trying to win with over-the-hill 33 year olds like the organization has been doing for 40 years, and start building the farm system.

Quite a few people have soiled their diapers over any sort of halfway negative comment made about Theo and the Cubs.

Teenage girls have less hysterical temper tantrums than many of the fanboys on the site.

Trust me, there is plenty of blame to go around. Hendry, Theo, Hoyer, Quade, Sveum, and Ricketts. They are all to blame and anyone who thinks differently is a moron.

Well Ricketts bought into a head ache for sure. Can't fund a big market payroll. Have to deal with politics. Carpet baggers preventing new resource.

Hendry was crappy with drafting talent.

There was plenty of blame to go around.

Regardless, they won 1 of the 3 which I figured. I thought Jackson but W/E.

I'm surprised that the pitching held together all 3 games.

The O lacking was predictable.

Boni going off for 3 games... wow this is the first legit lead off sense Pierre. Should be a interesting year if they get some production from 2-6.

It has potential to be better than expected.
