So this being baseball and a game of averages, we won't continue to see 3-4 hitters going 1 for 11?

It is not about the law of avg. It is about playing the hot hand.

Castro and Rizzo started cold. I didn't say bench but I said keep them from spliting up the hot hands.

This team lacks talent. So you stick with who is producing at that time and string them together.

Castro hitting #2...really?

Lake is hitting. LH starting so I get not going with Valbuena. So I would go with Bomi/Lake/Rugg/Olt/Rizzo/Castillo/Castro/Barney

Now if Castro goes 2-4 or even gets a hit then I would bump him up.. He is 0-forever right now and hitting #2......

Not only does he hit, but he can catch as well. Good play in the OF.

Hope not, but Castro missing spring training could cause him to have a rough go in the beginning. Rizzo just cant see left handers or that trend could continue.

Looks like Cubs' hitters finally brought their lunch pails today. Rizzo with an RBI single and Mike Olt with his first career home run with the Cubs.

Cubs on top of the Bucs 2-0.

Looks like I'm taking you to Vegas, Brett. What's your address? :smug:

LOL...I'm kind of a snob with Vegas. I need the Wynn or Mandalay Bay at a minimum of a Suite. :)

Move over Rickey, there's a new stud leadoff hitter in town.
