Both of these signings are a waste of the paper it took to print them on....if these two make the big league team we got problems!!

Looper will make 1M if he makes team and up to 3M if he becomes full-time starter.

They aren't costing us shit. They are free, essentially. They have experience and can give us some competition in ST.

But if they do anything, they aren't free. If they don't do anything, then they are worthless minor leaguers.

I can see good, but I hardly see how they are excellent.

If they actually make the team, they must have done something right to earn that spot. If not, like you said, they are just minor leaguers. No harm, no foul. I think it's an excellent signing because it's a high reward low risk deal.

I don't see how it is high reward, Looper has never been that great even before not playing last season.

Then he won't make the team. He's gonna have to be pretty damn good to make the team in the first place. If he isn't good enough, we don't lose anything.

I'm just saying I don't think it's excellent. Otherwise, Wellemeyer, Moore, etc. would all be excellent too. Just a minor league deal, nothing special IMO.
