Cashner will be in the pen.

1. You have no source, you're just assuming.
2. That sucks.
3. Well, at least he won't get injured.
4. He has #2 stuff.
5. But also could become a dominate closer.
6. Kudos for good grammar.
7. I hate the #6 so I had to keep going.

That's most likely... As of right now it seems.

Let's put it this way, I want him to be a starter by far but...

Anyway, I have full faith in any decisions made by Tom, Theo, Jed, Randy, Shiraz, Joe, Jason, Oneri, Tim, Crane (in business), et al. Why the **** am I using first names now?

I don't think our Front Office is familiar enough with Cashner to make him a starter, hopefully they can meet with Wilken before ST and change their mind.

I think they know what he can do with all the info and the scouting reports on him, but know of his past injuries too.

Ya, but I don't think they realize that his potential is so much more than/worth the risk... they should keep Shark in Long Relief so they can plug him in if needed.

Yeah, I still think Samardzija will be in the 'pen. Even after the Wood acqusition, the Cubs still have interest in Maholm and Francis.

To me this shows, Garza will be traded and/or Marmol will be traded too.

No, Epstein says he wants to build around him, so I doubt he gets traded... but if he does the Cubs are gonna ask for way more than we gave up to get him...

Marmol... maybe, not sure.

Maholm and Francis... no thanks.

I keep sayin' Garza will stay put, but at this point I don't know. Especially after the Marshall trade. I thought he would stay put.

Epstein did say he wants to build arounf Garza, but he also said Marshall was the best lefty relief pitcher. I know Garza's mean more, younger, on contract longer and more valueable. But you never know.

For the price Marmol is making, I can see him being traded.

I'll take Maholm for the right price, but pass on Francis.

All that means is that he was going to sell high if he were to trade him, which he seemingly must have.

Ya, remember what I said about Garza...
The Cubs are attempting to deal "most of their valuable assets" before Spring Training begins and "a complete overhaul of the team will definitely happen," two Major League sources tell David Kaplan of CSN Chicago.

Ya... uhhh... damn.

I'm assuming the term "most valuable assets" means every player that is good that is not named Starlin Castro and that the terms "valuable" and "assets" are used lightly.

I'd personally bomb Wrigley then... it's a dump anyway.
Then you'd just be FireCawks.

I agree with CNM, and others who say that the moon should be offered for Castro.

Castro is way better at baseball than the Moon, I'd trade Crawford or Emery for the Moon though, it'd make a damn good Goalie.
