  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Chicago State Cougars
  2. DePaul Blue Demons
  3. Illinois-Chicago Flames
  4. Loyola Ramblers

I saw this on World Series Dreaming's facebook. The Cubs "denied" the report but all of the quotes said "no done deal", leading me to believe that this shit is gonna happen.

Cubs really need to renovate wrigley ASAP.

Wish they could start renovations this upcoming offseason, but don't see it . Complete Renovation will happen this decade. Sooner the better.

I think it would take more than an offseason to fix Wrigley up, which is why this rumor popped up in the first place.

Of course it would take more than a offseason to rebuild. At least one season away from wrigley is needed to renovate the stadium

If the cubs had to play somewhere else it would be at least 1 or 2 seasons at the Cell, or in Milwaukee.

What would Cub fans do with themselves after they found out how much greater The Cell is than The Cage Aka Wrigley Field

The Cell makes more sense because it's still in Chicago and it's not like the Cubs or Sox play overlapping home schedules all the time.

Unless the renovation is like what they did to Soldier Field they have no shot

I believe a complete renovation will happen.I'm sure ricketts will hire a good designer to design a cool looking new stadium(unlike Soldier field) I think in the end the city will approve the renovation project.

Which means all landmark status will be removed so that wrigley can be demolished to the ground and rebuilt with a new structure.

The old structure HAS to be replaced. It's just WAY to old now.If Ricketts isn't allowed to tear down wrigley, cubs could/would have to build a complete new stadium(with help from the state and the taxpayers)

I don't like the bolded but since just about every other sports team does it, the Cubs would be silly not to explore that option.

They'd have to rip out some seats and make them modular along the sidelines for the parts of the football and baseball schedules that overlap around August and September.

Oakland shares the Coliseum between the A's and Raiders so dual-use is definitely possible. If those sideline seats in Soldier Field are permanent, though, then there's no way you can fit a baseball field in there.

I'd take the Cubs at the Cell. More Revenue for the Sox
