Oh well so much for the streak..
Am I the only one who thought Ruggiano could've made some kind of attempt at catching the first hit.

Yeah looked like he didn't know where it was off the bat.

Nope, both balls were catchable to major league outfielders which this guy doesn't qualify.

I think that freak hit off the bag is the real deal breaker here. That was odd and it hurt. Cubsluck

Pretty much sums up the last century for this team.

What a way to celebrate a 100th birthday for Wrigley.

only the Cubs. Seriously, 1 earned run 4 unearned in the ninth. I have seen the Cubs do this so many times in novel ways during day games that they must bet against themselves. What a joke. You can't be that cursed. They didn't sacrifice the boy or the goat. Jesus.

This team is in a dark dark night. Epstein the Red Sox super fan is not the answer. If you want to re-create that magic hire a qualified cubs fan. And screw the Rickets, why the hell didn't you sell to cuban. Ironic that they chose the "Cubs" faithful who it turns out was after the money when the "money" guru would actually be having fun with it and makes sure his teams are good no matter the cost because he loves to have fun. Things could be joyous right now.....but no we get this sad pathetic team with no bullpen every goddamn year. I have an idea....lets pay Rizzo like a yankees first baseman.

Last 100 years only pitcher to go seven innings in five starts allowing two or less runs to start a season and not record a win

Clearly all part of the master plan to keep his re-sign price down

Ok in all seriousness, his price has to be going way up and even more so for the Cubs since just about any team would provide more baseball good times

His agent should be calling teams begging them to make cubs a good offer in exchange for taking less money in extension

and the like Black Hawks the other night.

No argument here except that they gagged not once but twice. On the other hand, they have two championships in the last 4 years.....the Cubs have exactly zero in the last 100 years plus.
