I'm wondering who's the depth behind the ILBs, if they cut Timu? He was a core special teamer too. I gotta figure Anderson is gone as well.

Is Iggy supposed to be up next? That's one of those situations where a draft pick edges out a lot of game experience (even if Timu had his drawbacks).

Clearly they want Iggy to be the #4 guy. Timu is a known entity at this point. They'll probably look for a project to keep on the practice squad.

The bigger thing about the Timu cut is that it likely means we aren't trading Trevathan or Kwit for Mack.

That's a good point. No way they'd zero out depth at a single position.

Timu shoudnt sell his place yet. They might find a way to get him back on the team.

In non-Khalil Mack news today, the Bears worth monitoring on cuts day for me are:
Pat O'Donnell (staying)
John Timu (waived)
Deiondre Hall (likely to be stashed on suspended list)
Aaron Lynch (TBD)
Hroniss Grasu (TBD)
Marcus Cooper (TBD)
Jordan Morgan (TBD)

having cut both timu and anderson it seems unlikely LB is part of the mack trade package.

#Bears have informed RB Ryan Nall he will be placed on waivers. Would be strong candidate to re-sign to practice squad provided he clears.

There is still some super bums that are obviously getting cut. Players like John Franklin and such.

So to me that makes it look less likely Howard being the player to be named later in the Mack trade
