D Howard Would Join Bulls If God Wants It To Happen

How is wanting a top 5 player to go along with your superstar (arguably top 5) player a "knee jerk reaction"? Why does a loss have to prompt wanting the best big man in the NBA? Absolutely senseless...

I personally believe the Bulls need another star player along with Rose.

I was going to say the same thing. Adding Howard completely changed the complexion of this team, in a good way. It's a superstars league more than ever. Also having Howard IMO extends the career of Rose, being that there's not such an emphasis on him carrying this team game to game. Im not much of a history geek when it comes to basketball but I cant think of a PG-C combo this good or talented.

It's not knee jerk to want one of the true superstars and difference makers in the league who you know you can count on. No health risk, no inconsistencies and believe it or not, still improving. An addition of such high impact that you can bet your life that the bulls will always contend him these two paired up. You can blow it all up now and maybe sacrifice this year but you can put all of the pieces in place to build a real winner in one off-season. Love Deng but if he has to go then he has to go. You give anybody but Rose.

Not saying anything will happen. I'm not falling for the media trap right now but just agreeing with Hou, this isn't knee jerk, it's common sense.

Btw what have they even been saying all morning? I've been at work. Did Howard actually put us on his guest list yet?

I think the way Dwight phrased it shows that he has no interest in moving to Chicago but he wanted to sound diplomatic about it. I still think it's slim to none that we get Howard but I would love to see it happen.

I for one am fairly certain Orlando is not trading Dwight Howard. Otherwise they would have already done it. They're going to play this out and hope the team has a good year and Dwight somehow resigns with them. If not, they'll let him walk or do a sign and trade in the off-season.

Maybe at that point we do a sign a trade for Dwight. Who knows. Of course if the Bulls do indeed win the championship this year, they won't make a major move like that. If they lose to Miami again in the ECF, then I think they are more enticed to make a big move. I dont know if they will or not. Paxson will probably say something along the lines of "My Bulls team lost to Detroit 3 times in a row and never made any major change before we finally got over the hump." He'll just call it more growing pains or whatever.

Regardless... It'll be interesting to see what indeed transpire with Dwight Howard. But like I said, I dont see anything happening this season with him.

Kyles not an asshole, he's just a waste of space vs the team we need him to play his best against.

Howard could be a racist, sexist pos and I'd gladly accept him on this team. If you look at it, Noahs an asshole too but I don't care about that. I just want the best players to help this team win titles.

Plus Taj Gibson, C.J. Watson (who might be an upgrade over Jameer Nelson at this point), and a stretch 4 (SVG's true love).

You should have taken more time off from the board.

I like CJ Watson but even with Jameer having a down season he's not better than him relative to what each would do for the Magic. CJ isn't a true point, Jameer is more of a "true" PG so comparing the two doesn't really make a ton of sense. I think CJ would be great off the bench for Orlando but comparing him to Jameer Nelson makes very little sense. Different style of player.

I'd like to keep Asik. But even if the Magic demand every Bulls' big not named Boozer, you DO IT.

The Magic can demand every big we have for all I care. The only one I like at this point is Gibson.

Amnestying both of them does zero good. Hell, amnestying one of them does zero good because the Bulls will be over the cap next season through the foreseeable future.

All it does is guarantee no title is happening.

You can only amnesty one player per CBA.

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard would be open to playing with Derrick Rose in Chicago, according to the Chicago Tribune.


“If I could play with Derrick right now and God wanted that to happen, it will happen,” Howard told the Tribune. “It has nothing to do with me not wanting to play with Derrick Rose. I love him. That’s my brother.”

Howard is just trying to play nice, especially with Rose being his Adidas counter part. I personally don't think Howard would concider Chicago, but, I have been wrong before.
