The Bears defense has more talent than the Lions and Vikings D's. This team would be fun to watch with Flores calling the D. The Sweat acquisition has unlocked a couple of guys on the line.
Amazing what some actual talent will do.

And let's not sell Eberflus short as a defensive coach. He got the chance to head coach because he had a lot of success as a D coordinator, just like Fangio. And just like Fangio, couldn't cut it as a head coach. it happens. Eberflus has done a great job with the defense outside the 2-minute prevent.

You're not wrong, but part of giving these games away has been his play calling when it's mattered. Although, that was Flores problem tonight too.

It's just good to see some talent on the field and they are gaining confidence and getting aggressive. You get rid of #4 and that secondary has some talent.

If the D continues to dominate I think there is a case for keeping Flus. To give all the credit to the players and leave out the system and play calling is extremely short sighted.

Getsy and Fields seem to be the biggest setbacks at the moment. Maybe add receiver in that mix and then online. There were so many plays today when Fields had time but did not pull the trigger. All 22 will be very telling.

The coaching staff needs to go. You can't fire the entire O staff and keep Eberflus.

"get rid of Getsy and Fields" Oh ****. Great plan, cut the QB because the OC sucks.

You most certainly can

Just like the Steelers fired their OC. Not saying this should happen but saying they can't is not correct

Flus four wins this year:
Howell, Dobbs, Hoyer, Young

If that is enough to bring him back, then this franchise is beyond poverty.

You want to fire half of the mans coaching staff and hope he will be cool with that?

I guess the Bears could piss him off and keep him around, but why, would they, whats the point?

Why are you putting something in quotes that I didn't say? Kind if ironic posting that pic and you don't know how quotations work. Nothing in your response reflects anything I actually said. I'm gonna let it go and assume you had a few too many. Can't blame you.

There is something to be said for the way the D is playing under his coaching and playcalling.

I am simply stating that if the D continues to play this well then there is a case to be made for retaining Flus. Seems like a lot of posts are giving all the credit to the players and assume any coach can step in and they will not miss a beat.

Regardless the season still needs to play out before this means anything and to your point they need to look good against better qb play.

Flus defense is very vanilla and outdated. We’ve seen decent QBs carve this defense up. They gave up 31 points last week and 30 points vs Chargers a few weeks ago. Kirk Cousins plays tonight and this game is a blowout, no doubt.

If they hadn’t shit the bed 3 times in games they dominated this team should have 7 wins. There is potential here with the draft position. The QB decision is huge, but Flus and Getsy have to go.

Why does he need to fire half the staff to fire Getsy?

What OC is going to come here to coach under a guy who would clearly on be on his last year if things went wrong and also not have his own staff?

The defensive line played their best game yesterday. They dominated all game. Just get another Edge rusher and a 3 tech, and I think they could actually get back to top 5-10.

(Now what Defensive coach will they hire next year and will he play a similar scheme?)

Yes, it is happening again, it always does with the Bears. Due to player turnover the defense may have an off year, but only a matter of time before the defense again becomes dominant. The offense never really does. Bears need to embrace it.
