Starks and Jihaad being so high are interesting to me. He has the Bears taking the T Rex.

I like DJ too. I think his background with the Ravens gives him a leg up on most of these TV analysts.I always take mocks with a huge grain of salt but in the case of DJ, I'm more interested where he slots picks based off of his rankings.
In this case, CCS darlings Banks at 25 and Williams at 28.
Brugler had a similar projection of Banks at 24 noting "The projection of Banks moving to guard was never about size, it was more about his play style" which I assume backs up Jeremiahs view as well.
He apparently isn't worried about Campbell's arm length for LT as there is no sliding over to guard option.
Banks got his ass kicked by Georgia imo. That game moved me off of him a bit but everyone can have a bad game. He looked like Braxton 2.0.I like DJ too. I think his background with the Ravens gives him a leg up on most of these TV analysts.
I disagree with him on Banks. All the times I watched Texas, he never seemed to get beat and he was a real solid run blocker. How did Texas look when he hurt his ankle? They sure looked like they missed him in the SEC Championship game.

I dont think sanders makes it past NYG at 3. They did a ton of work and visits with him during the season. They obviously like him. If they trade up to 1, maybe he hangs around but how could Tennessee pass on ward after they did nothing at qb in fa. They aren't running it back with levis.Feed me all the mocks...
- I do really like Starks, so I'm not super shocked he's moving back up.
- I'd love Sanders to be in the top 9. There's a lot of noise of him not making it past the Browns. Of course, that's just speculation though, not reporting.
- Not sure the Browns should take Carter with Myles. No one will cry about two amazing ends, but I'd be very tempted by Hunter instead.
- Love Jalon Walker... surprised he's at 5.
- Unsure of how I feel about Will Campbell. The thought that he'd have to rework his stance to move into guard is not exciting.
- Zabel stock also rising
- Hampton pretty high and I'm guessing that's realistic. He's like the Gibbs of the draft. A team that misses Jeanty will probably grab Hampton earlier that we expect.
- Dart sneaking up is also interesting.
- McMillian seems too low.
I think he’s a great player and he’s moving inside at the NFL level.I found the Campbell selection interesting with the 32 1/2 arm length, that just screams IOL doesn't it?
Campbell remains a LT due to his play... as it should be.I always take mocks with a huge grain of salt but in the case of DJ, I'm more interested where he slots picks based off of his rankings.

Yeah, just like Skoronski!Campbell remains a LT due to his play... as it should be.
Skoronski wasn't as good and had even shorter arms.Yeah, just like Skoronski!
Yeah the upside on Williams is pretty high. He's so young.![]()
Mel Kiper 2025 NFL Mock Draft has Chicago Bears ditching offense in first round
The Bears have long been pegged as a team that will target O-line in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but Mel Kiper has other plans in his Mock Draft.www.si.com
That's who I'm pining for at #10. Tons of upside and fits the DE profile Allen likes while adding to a defensive line that is lacking upper echelon talent. At worst you're getting a DE who can play early downs and set the edge. At best you're probably looking at a Jared Verse type player.Kiper just went to Williams in his latest mock.
"In Mel Kiper's mock draft, the Bears opt for a pass rusher in Georgia's Mykel Williams.

"I've gone offensive line for the Bears in both of my previous mock drafts, but that box was checked in free agency," Kiper wrote. "Chicago traded for guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson, then signed center Drew Dalman. And while the Bears also added Dayo Odeyingbo and Grady Jarrett on the defensive front, they could still use someone like Williams coming off the edge. They ranked in the middle of the pack last season in sacks (40) but were 24th in pass rush win rate (36.5%)."
