Who never got the chance to play LT because they drafted him to play G.

We won't know with Campbell unless a team drafts him that needs him for LT.
He had plenty of chances to play LT his rookie year, TEN lost 3 of the starting OTs in front of him for multiple games. TEN chose to move their RG Radunz to RT when injuries forced a shuffle instead of giving Skoronski a shot because they didnt see him as able to play tackle in the NFL. And its not like he had a world beater in front of him, their LT Dillard gave up the most sacks in the NFL that year in less than a full season of games. Titans were desperate for better OT play that year and would have given Skoronski a shot at it if they thought he had a future there.

I dont think sanders makes it past NYG at 3. They did a ton of work and visits with him during the season. They obviously like him. If they trade up to 1, maybe he hangs around but how could Tennessee pass on ward after they did nothing at qb in fa. They aren't running it back with levis.

I really don't think Dart goes round 1 unless Pittsburgh misses on every qb in FA and is left with their dick in hand
I honestly think he will go in the first. McShay ranked 4 QBs in his top 30. It's this big game of chicken. Basically, all 3 of the top teams need a QB. Even if 2 grab one like in this mock, that means the next team will be likely to take Dart in the early 2nd. Again, with this mock, I'd expect the Browns to take Dart in the early 2nd if the Steelers don't take him.

But that said, other QB needy teams can't afford to let him sit late into the second. They need to get ahead of Ten/Cle/NYG for the reason I mentioned above. I could definitely see a team like the Steelers just grab him in the 1st cause he won't be there in the 2nd. I could also see a team like the Raiders being interested in jumping ahead of the top 3 teams into the late 1st cause they can't hope he falls to them in the 2nd. Similar can be said of other teams who may like him. Colts, Seattle, and Rams should also probably put some thought into it with their 1st or 2nd rounder. If they don't want to use a 1st, they probably have to trade up with their 2nd.

"The Titans continued the process of rebuilding their offensive line Thursday, picking Northwestern lineman Peter Skoronski with the No. 11 pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Titans' offensive line was dreadful last season, and Skoronski was drafted to be a Band-Aid for those woes.

What position? Doesn't matter.

"(We're) really just going to play him at offensive line to start and see where we go and see where we feel like he can best help the football team, where he can best help himself," Titans coach Mike Vrabel said. "We haven’t targeted anything. We wanted to identify speed, violence and versatility. He checks those boxes and we’ll let those materialize as we work through the offseason and training camp. That’s when the offensive line is going to come together."

Not according to their coach.

What’s the logic behind this?

“Don’t want to accept that Campbell’s stock has fallen “ ?

Why would they not want to accept it? And for that matter, why or how have you determined his stock has fallen?
There is no "proof" since the draft hasn't happened. The experts that were pushing Campbell as the best OT and a top 5 or top 10 prospect don't want to have to explain why he falls into the teens.

There is nothing amazing about Campbell's tape, he doesn't have any extraordinary physical traits that will absolutely transfer to NFL success. He played in the SEC and managed to keep sacks down to a minimum. He looks like a solid prospect that is smart and has the right attitude to succeed. Physically he grades out as guard but his technique and setup looks like they need a complete overhaul in order to actually play that position.

He's a boom or bust prospect at OT and the Bears don't need him at OG nor should they draft him just because he is sitting there at the #10 pick.

Campbell remains a LT due to his play... as it should be.
Skoronski was one of the highest graded tackle prospects of all time with poor measureables.

Will Campbell’s wingspan have s shorter than skoronski’s, and he doesn’t have as good of tape as skoronski.

The chance he pans out as a successful LT is low

Guess they decided that G was where they wanted him.

Extremely low. With his arm length and wingspan, he’d be a complete outlier at the position. Safer bet to say he won’t pan out than to say he’ll be the first guy to overcome those limitations. He’s going to be a guard and he’ll need to completely rework his stance. I don’t think he’s going to have a smooth transition.

This is my best mock yet. OT locked. DT locked. RB locked. Replacement for a Saftery locked. Best value at TE. Feeling good about this.

This would be an amazing draft, but probably zero chance the Colts give up #45 to move up 4 picks. Their GM is way too conservative minded to do that. Having Nolen, Loveland, Watts all sitting there available and Bassa all the way at #148... Hey we can all dream of that happening at least.

I haven’t watched him yet for my draft study but heard he has a very upright stance which will make his transition to IOL a little harder. They weren’t saying he couldn’t do it. Just that it would be a transition. Just throwing that out there.
I heard that too.

If Graham drops out of the top 5, trade up. My expected trade package would be all 2025 picks - Bears 1st, one of their 2nds, and their 5th rounder for a 1st and a 3rd rounder. This trade package is modeled after 2023's trade for the Cardinals to move from 12 to 6 to draft Paris Johnson Jr.

You can bargain around the trade package (on one hand, you could expect to send less, because the team isnt moving from 12 to 6; on the other hand, an active bidding environment could shoot the price higher), but I think that is going to be around the maximum value that the team will be willing to spend without committing future years' draft picks to the pile. If you wanted, Miami traded from 12 to 6 with Dallas in 2021. That trade was a 1st, 4th, and the following year's 1st rounder, and in return Miami moved up and brought back a 5th rounder in that year. Personally, I would rather not send next year's 1st round pick.

Either way, Campbell reminds me of Chris Williams. If we are sitting there at 10, I would rather go with Banks, Emmanwori, Pearce or Mykel Williams. If DJ has the bead, the team could trade down modestly, collect more draft picks, and make a solid pick with any of those guys.
I hated the CW pick because he was a soft finesse player that I didn't expect to make it at LT but also not stout enough for G. Campbell is nothing like him and is a stout aggressive player that is proactive in how he plays LT with fast hands, great contact balance, strength, feet etc. If you think he's like CW you really haven't watched film on both and are using a completely different type of player to make a false point. His 1" longer arm length was also not even a consideration in 2008.

I'm sorry but this is one of the poorest similes I've experienced on this board. Campbell may or may not succeed at LT but he's nothing like CW.

Also, whomever said he'd not be that good at G because his skills don't translate is smoking something. He succeed at T due to being a physical player with great hands and leverage.

I'm not advocating drafting him but I can see why he was the top rated T going into the combine before getting his arms measured. It's his fricking play which some are now diminishing out of pure bias. He'll now be the #2 T but that drop will likely make some GM very happy.
