It was always off. He's not a "football guy." What's worse, he's bad at designing an offense and calling plays. Really, there's nothing he does well...other than look like a child molester.

His offense the first year here was pretty decent, I'm not gonna lie I had hope especially when we took out Rodgers and won the game. The problem is, his offense was so predictable everyone caught on by the end of his first year and his second year was even worse.

I remember Forte describing it as something along the lines of they called plays and hoped they work and this year they're attacking the defense. That's a nice way of sucking Trestman sucks.

Trestman was just another relic we decided would somehow work here despite being out of the NFL for years.

Trestman groupies where ya at? Show yourselves.

When he was first hired I thought that he was going to be good, because we did not have someone that had a supposed "Quarterback Whisperer" mentality we were always all defense. I thought it would be nice to have some offense as well.

Then he hired the D coordinator from the Jags which was a HUGE red flag to me and was apparent that was a poor decision in the first few games of his first year. Then he didn't fire him after the season was over and I knew we were screwed. No balls at all, didn't hold people accountable.

He had no back bone at all, not head coach material in hindsight. Its weird that he was successful pretty much everywhere he went before coming to the Bears.

I have to admit that I like the hire, and at the end of last year I absolutely LOVED the firing of him and his crew. Gooooood riddance.

Trestman should not have been hired to be the janitor up at Halas Hall and should not be currently employed within the NFL. This was the case even before he was hired to be the head coach of the Chicago Bears.

I loved the hire. He looked weird and talked like a nerd, but he has been around pro football for decades, there was no way he could be as big a pussy as he looked.

No way. That's unpossible.

"Ratliff went ballistic, this player said, and was asked to leave practice. He departed but later returned. Practice was stopped and most players went off to the side while a small group of players and coaches tried to calm Ratliff down and get him to leave.

It didn’t work initially. Ratliff destroyed the game clock on the practice field, smashing it and kicking it. Later, he shoved an assistant coach to the ground. While all of this went on, Trestman never intervened. He just stood off to the side and watched.

And this is the most incredible part. The uber-enabling part. Not only was Ratliff never punished by Trestman...he was named one of the captains the next day. The entire locker room was incredulous."

IMO...Trest also lost credibility when he let Lance Briggs ( a team leader at da time) go to a restaurant opening vs. being available for the 1st day of practice.

Yep.

I remember also when he did the whole "stats say we shoulda went kicked field goal on 2nd down" or whatever down it was, instead of trying to gain a few more yards.

But say what we will......every year when HC jobs become available there's a group of ppl. who always say " the most qualified get hired".
