Rise reasoning:

Bears hire a coach. “I see no reason to be excited.”

Bears interview a candidate but someone else hires him. “Deer Sweet Jesus, the sky is falling!! That guy I know nothing about must be the best coach in the world because the Bears missed out on him!”

Dear Idiot,

I never once said the sky is falling or singled out a single positional coach as someone I want hired. I just expressed concern over the oline coach and got attacked by an army of sensitive homers like you.

Edit: I guess I’m guilty of complimenting Frye which means I’m a wanna be coach evaluator.

IDK why anyone sees Eric B as a "fall from grace" or ANYTHING negative. JFC. I see this as a steal for us, an overqualified coach that has a wealth of experience. My first thought was WOW, that's great for us. So far I've been thrilled with the coaching moves. You're not going to get every guy you want. OL is the last coach I'm really excited about here, eager to see who Ben gets. But overall, honestly, the coaching hires is a solid "A" overall across the board for me. Stoked.

You chill out. People are allowed to question things. Nobody is saying the sky is falling. So damn sensitive, are you a cheer leader?

Also nobody is acting like they know the coaches except people like you. It goes both ways why are you so positive about people you don’t know? That’s equally as weird as being negative.
I literally said no one knows about these coaches. I don't know the coaches details, I don't no the process details. I don't have shit clue if anyone from HC down will be legendary or shit. No one on here does, hell no one at Halas Hall knows how it will turn out.

I have no idea how someone gets their panties in such a wad over someone they had never heard of 2 days ago.

Your family may need to consider an intervention.

Why can’t your sensitive ass understand I don’t care about any specific position coach. I just pointed out that one of the 4 they interviewed is now gone, to a team who just had their last guy promoted mind you. When has that ever happened here?

If you now want to have zero opinion or don’t want to discuss the coaching hires or the process then go to a different thread.

Or is that all you want to read? “I have zero opinion because I don’t know about the coaches and process so I’m just here to be a cheerleader. “

Let’s all just post that over and over.

Everyone please stop posting any questioning opinions about coaches or how the process of filling out the staff is going unless you’re Ryan Poles. You just aren’t qualified.

You’re allowed to blindly be excited about the moves and progress. However, if you dare question how it’s going in anyway you need a family intervention.

For this part specifically, I’m sure the Bears decided he wasn’t in the running. As soon as another team offered, I’m sure his agent called the Bears and discussed the situation (unless they had previously notified him). I doubt they were blindsided by the move or anything. They probably feel one of the others will do the job for them. Why they’re taking this time to pick someone? Who knows… but it should be over soon enough.

I think you came off a little differently originally. It seemed doom n gloomy but it’s hard to judge on a message board.
I’m pretty sure we are all just hoping for the best but we all know the Bears track record.

As others have let it be known we know nothing so we can’t have any thoughts or opinions on the matter. I’m sorry unless you work for the Bears and are in depth with the hirings you can’t speak on such matters.

This goes for every aspect of the NFL by the way. Do no question a call you aren’t a ref or a coach. Do not question a draft pick, do not question anything just obey!

If you thought it was it definitely wasn’t. It’s not even rational why would I be doom and gloomy over one positional coach? Yes it’s important but I’m sure they will find someone.

I’m literally the guy who made the “only choice is Ben Johnson” thread. I’m the guy who pounded the table for Caleb Williams back in October of that year. The Bears are doing exactly what I want I’m actually very excited about the future.

If it doesn’t work out I certainly won’t be mad at the Bears. They are doing everything I wanted.

Well, I’m not saying you can’t have thoughts. We’ll likely never know one way or another anyway.

That’s obvious. I’ve never claimed to have in depth knowledge. I’m just not afraid to write exactly what I think at any given moment with zero fear, and I think that comes off as a know it all to some people.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. I just go back to looking at his age and how long he has been in the New Orleans area and it started to not add up to me.
This was posted 17 days ago (Jan 16). Roushar interviewed with the Bears this past Friday, Feb 1. I don't believe this post has anything to do with Roushar staying at Tulane

My first thought was: This is dumb. After thinking about it further, I still think it's a dumb idea. I think you run the real risk of too many cooks in the kitchen at that point.

People just need to be patient and let Johnson actually build his offense around Caleb first and see how it is working before they start just tossing consultant names like Gruden in the hat. I doubt Johnson has even really had any time to watch film with Caleb yet, as he talked about as being step 1 in the process to building a catered offense and people are already trying to fix what has even happened yet.
