Good for the kid! It was a very important month for the Bulls and Rose had some big big games. Hope he continues to play really well into the playoffs

I find it almost amusing that 10% of the media is going WAY out of their way to find reasons Rose shouldn't be the MVP...He'll use it to his advantage.

Which may be my favorite part of Rose's development. When he gets pissed, he takes over, and he's even more unstoppable than before. It was on display when he was called for a bullshit foul in the last game, and 2 games ago he was jobbed on some sort of call, and then scored like 8 of the next 10 points scored in the game.

Dude's a beast, glad he's a Bull.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The only time I'll ever bring this up here. I wanted SIGH Beasley.

Glad the Bulls did their homework on Rose. Great player and human being; well deserving of this and the MVP award this season.

Dwight Howard probably deserved it more.

I have no idea as to what the criteria for this award is, but I would think its statistical in nature and team success is important...

Rose scored 25.6ppg on 41.6% shooting...he shot 29% from the 3pt line and had 7.1 assists per game. He did shoot 90% from the line.

Howard averaged 22pts and 16 rebs during March...he shot 59% from the field...and from the line, with 3 blocks a game. Howard almost averaged 5 turnovers a game, most for any month of the season for him

James averaged 28pts, 7.6rebs and 6.1assists per game. He shot 58% from the field and 78% from the line. He also shot 30.6 from 3pt.

Depends on what you look at I guess...

If it's about who was purely the best player this month, I say it was Dwight Howard or LeBron James.

The ball has been in Dwight's hands more for the Magic over the past few weeks and has even started to rack up some assists like he hasn't done before in his career, which explains why the turnovers are also up.

As for LeBron, the guy just had arguably his best month of the season... Rose has had better months than this one too, to be honest.

But if this award is based on which player has been the most valuable in terms of wins... I think it rightfully should belong to Derrick Rose. Though, that would lead me to wonder why he hasn't gotten it pretty much every month this season...

Rose recorded career highs in points (42), assists (17), & 3pts made in a game (6) all in the same month. Plus the team went 13-3 during that span, overtook the Celtics for best in the East, & had an 8 game win streak. I think that's the reason why Rose won the award & deservedly so.

Well again, I don't know what the criteria is personally. Zach Randolph would win the award once with a 11-6 record in January of this year. He had nice numbers too, wasn't sure how it worked and never paid much attention until now...

He finishes games for his team and he is a great leader. Stats don't mean much.

Exactly, he should have gotten the award earlier in the year if anything. This might have been the press making amends.

To say stats are not important when giving out awards is a cop out.
