Dirty hit, not sure if there will be a suspension... but there definitely should have been a penalty.

Under the rules the NHL has in place, it'll never amount to anything good tangible on the ice. You'll be hit with the instigator. The thing that goes unnoticed all the time and that no one talks about, is the fact that the dirty hit occurred in the first place. Even with Scott on the ice. The argument always goes that things like that don't happen with guys like Scott on the team. It's just not true. There was another hit later with Neal leaving his feet to hit Keith as well. Scott doesn't stop that shit from happening, doesn't work that way anymore.

Doesn't matter what it may or may not stop after the fact. The fact that Scott stood up for his teammate after a dirty hit speaks volumes. I am sure every single one of his teammates would tell you that and truly believes it.

Isn't that conceding a huge part of the argument of having a player like Scott? Stopping that kind of dirty play?It doesn't stop it before the fact either.

Eliminate players like Scott?

Are you trying to eliminate league minimum 6th dmen?

In case you don't watch the games, Scott has been JUST FINE in his position... sticking up for teammates is extra.

Well the NHL fucks you with the Instigator but what a bunch of pussies had they done nothing. The NHL didn't do their job. Good for Scott for atoning. Would have been cowardly not doing anything after that. Blame the fucking instigator and 17 PIMS not Scott.

Stus right. He isn't often right but this time he is right.

Scott is a team player. he keeps proving it over and over again. Players love the guy you can tell!!! Watch the bench when Scott is on it. Watch the taps he gets from the entire bench when he heads to the dressing room. And hell lately away from that end of his game Scotts actually been doing a steady job with the minutes he gets. I would rather have him in the lineup over O'Donell and Lepsito. I have warmed up so much to Scott that I actually hope they extend his contract...yup I said it.

Anyways

Had Kruger stayed down and milked it like a lot of players do there would have been a penalty. Because Kruger is tough as nails and gets up the officials call no penalty. That's what has become of this league..apparently you have to sell these type of hits to get a penalty called..that's bullshit. It is a 2 game suspendable hit but seeing no penalty was called on it there may be none served. Left his feet...target to the head. What else needs to be said?

Instigator needs to fucking get out of this league!!! There is no better time to get rid of it than right now. Until it is done I am not really buying into the idea that the league wants to abolish head shots until they allow the players to police themselves again. This suspension shit ain't working. I think there were 3 head shots tonight around the league. There seems to be even more head shots this season with the new suspensions than there were last year. Maybe because they are milking every head shot? Probably has something to do with it. But until the players on the ice like Scott are allowed to stick up for team mates like he did tonight without being raped in penalty minutes this shit will never stop. Players don't give 2 shits if they are suspended for a couple games. Let someone bust their faces up for being dick heads then maybe it will have a bigger impact.

Bet you money every single player in that locker room goes up to him and says Thankyou. Infact I know they will. He did exactly what he's paid to do. If he didn't Mayers would have. Instigator would have been coming either way.

Not their fault the NHL officials Rob Martell and Chris Lee didn't call the MINIMUM 5 MINUTE MAJOR they were supposed too! Who fines them?

He's a league minimum 4th liner from the old NHL. There are plenty of league minimum 6th dmen that can play hockey.

Who cares about his talent level, he's not here for his talent hes here for his character and a bit of glue for the locker room.
