Well 6.2 IP of 3 runs right now from Wood. With Wells coming out I am guessing this won't be a quality start for Wood.

Unless someone commits an error before the explosion occurs, I believe you may be correct.

I would be more pissed that a good team like the Reds couldn't help you out while the Astros took 2 of 3 from you guys.

Believe me, I called the Sox worthless, idiots, etc on Sunday.

I'm not biased.

Hey what do you know? Wells preserves the quality start for Wood.

Nothing will top Steve McMichael saying he will have words with the umpire after the game, but it was pretty funny.

Justin Verlander might be able to close this one out himself.

I think it is more than likely that Verlander will just handle this one himself.

Travis Wood matched Verlander in inducing ground ball outs so far today. The doubles were bad but the last run-scoring hit before he left was just good placement by Jackson and bad luck for Wood himself. Them's the breaks.

Yeah Wood was effective, and we are seeing what Wood is capable of being. A guy at the end of the rotation to eat some innings and keeps you in ballgames. He ought to be relatively cheap for a few more seasons, and that is good enough.

Russell is really thriving in the role that Marshall had the past few years.
