Ben Gordon averaging 20 points per-game is more of a testament to how bad the Bulls' offense was back when he was playing for them.
So you're saying that Gordon only scored 20 points because a team that won 47 games had a terrible offense. How about his last year for us when we had Rose, Hinrich, Salmons, and Miller? Seemed like that team was scrapping to score 80 points a game...:obama:

Well, if the Bulls were straight-up absorbing ridiculous contracts on top of the team that they already have now, then I will take Joe Johnson and let Reinsdorf go deep into his pocket books paying the luxury tax. Joe Johnson is so much better than Gordon... But both of those contracts are awful in their own right.
Well obviously Johnson is better than Gordon, but that contract situation complicates the decision was my point. You'd have to gut the team to afford Johnson, while adding Gordon would cost less.

What I am really saying is that any team that uses a 6th man in a number one scoring role really cannot be depended upon offensively. Especially when that guy is turnover prone and undersized... and one dimensional.

The only decent team the Bulls ever had, before getting Rose, was when they had Ben Wallace in 2006-07 when they won 49 games. And that was largely because of improved defense and rebounding.

It depends who the Bulls are giving up. If the Bulls would need to trade away Boozer and pieces for Johnson then I'm all for it. That is pretty much all I'd do.

If I am giving up Korver ($5M) for Gordon at $9M I'd probably do it.

SP94, is $12M too much for Ben Gordon? A simple "yes" or "no" will suffice.

NO DAMMIT, Of Course not....If I was the GM, I would go into my own pocket and I wouldn't have to pay rent because I would live in the United Center....I would sacrifice man....

I think the team is fine. I would just say add a scorer on the bench since CJ is playing the point with that unit. The starting lineup has enough scorers, don't necessarily need a scorer at the 2 spot. Maybe someone who can get between 8-12 points and can defend. But that's just how I see it.

We know they will make the playoffs. When you get there, one guy can take over and the Bulls have that. Give me Rose and role players any day.

Yes, 80 points a game. If by 80 points a game you mean 102.2 ppg.

Stats. You do know they keep records of these things?

Scrapping by indeed. :obama:

Wait, it just occurred to me that there might be a little hint of sarcasm in your post.

If so, me = :tiptoe::tiptoe::tiptoe::obama::tiptoe::tiptoe:

Affallo or JRich will get the job done. OJ Mayo would be a pipe dream, but if Memphis is in salary dump mode following this garbage lockout he's the best option.

I'll answer for him.

:office:

This is the reason we're in the hole we're in, over-paying players to no end.

Boozer, Noah and Deng are all payed more then they should and when Rose comes calling for his new contract we are screwed.

The problem with the Bulls is that we almost have the personnel to get it all done, but because we over-pay all our players, we can't add that final piece to our puzzle.

Then get rid of Boozer and replace him with Gibson.....Or make trades or somthing...where there is a will, there is a way.......We will not get past Miami if we just keeo the roster like it is....But we will be good....good isn't good enough.....Or else, we can just sign Tracey MCGRADY AND CALL IT A DAY.......UUUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!

Absolutely agree with this.

Gibson has more of an upside and a hell of a lot more heart.....He can do anything Boozer can plus HE PLAYS DEFENSE.....We did fine with Gibson starting while Boozer camped out on the bench as a spectator.......And we did it without a 2guard that scored....now add one and see how we are.

Gibson is hardworker, no doubt. He is better then Boozer in this. But every player has to work on the floor so his team could be strong enough to contend with Miami or other team that has superstars. I mean every player should react fast to any situation that opponent team is creating on the floor especially on defense...

And having someone who can put points on the board and take pressure off of Rose will solve a lot of grief for DRose....

Our glaring weaknesses last year we're extremely evident in the Heat series. If teams just double up on Rose then we literally have no one else on our team who can create their own shot or even start scoring some points.

Once you have multiple threats on a team, it opens up options and allows all your players to score and play. This is something basic that the Bulls organization haven't figured out yet and until we do, this team will never win a championship.

yeah, someone who is not afraid to take a shot in any situation, T-Mac still can do it plus he is good playmaker.
