Spiders always get a bad rap. My wife always wants me to kill spiders whenever she sees one in the house, but I would rather not b/c they're killing all the other bugs in the house.
Show her spider boy and his spider tonight. She'll never go to sleep.

Yep, when I see them they get left alone unless they happen to be crawling on me (and that's more out of instinct to whack whatever is crawling on me than wanting to kill a spider). I mean, seriously, how many deadly spider species will an average American run into? Two (widows and reclusives)? Hobos and yellow sacs can be painful and cause necrosis but are rarely fatal. Only 4 fatalities on average in the US per year and this is what people are scared of?

Yes I'm scared of a spider the size of my hand. Normal size not so much.

That's the thing, the big ones are usually the least to worry about. Same way with scorpions, jelly fish, and a lot of other venomous animals; big one gets you there really isn't much to worry about, it's the little shits that kill your ass.

My biggest fear is living in a theocracy. Part of what's wrong with america today.

As for the rest: I'd have no problem being buried. In fact, I'd like my coffin filled with peat and fine-grained anoxic sediment so my ass could be fossilized.

Heights, no problem.

Flying..I love flying.

Spiders and bugs...that's a sticking point. I know in all reality they pose little to no threat, but they still make my skin crawl. I'll tolerate them outdoors but if they come inside they have to die.

No real fear of deep water, either.

It's because they are hairy and gross looking.

Nah. Just tell her you let a few dozen of these loose to take care of the spider problem.

I have a fear of being buried alive. Strangely enough when I die I don't want to be cremated but I don't want to be buried in a coffin either. I want to be tossed in the hole as is. This way my body can break down and I can get back to the earth ASAP. Don't want my body trapped in a box for eternity. Don't know if anyone would allow me to actually do this tho??

I'm not really afraid of heights, well I am afraid but I get terrible vertigo when I'm up high. I can ride roller coasters and all that sort of stuff but the dizzyness is killer. Like when at the Grand Canyon I was extremely dizzy looking over the edge and couldn't get real close.

I have a weird thing with fruit. I love the taste of oranges and bananas and apples but I rarely eat them because I think they might have gone bad

I'm good with it. You can have a plot in my backyard for a nominal fee. Digging cost extra.

I have exactly the same fear as Marty. And vertigo probably as bad. Some friends wanted me to go to the Grand Canyon and go out on that plexiglass walkway they built. Not happenin in my lifetime. I am not afraid of heights but get deathly afraid driving twisties in the mountains when I am either driving or riding my bike. I can not look off of cliffs because I am positive I am going to fall.

I was reminded that I have flatuphobia. Especially when, at my advancing age, they do not give me advanced warning.
