Have astigmatism and use glasses or toric lenses, depending on situation. The contacts are a bit annoying but so are glasses.

Contact users, do you prefer normal multipurpose solution or the peroxide type with the special case? I switched to the peroxide one and feel like my contacts stay cleaner or something.

I do have glasses, but I don't normally wear them unless I'm at the computer, watching television, etc. I have a pretty insignificant prescription that hasn't really changed much since I first started wearing glasses as a teenager.

Yup, I have terrible vision. I wear glasses, been wearing em since the 3rd grade. They don't bother me in the slightest, and I like how they make me look a little more sophisticated and mature, even though I am neither.

I started wearing glasses at around my second year in college. What an experience it was when I first put on glasses... I was able to see shit that I wasn't able to see before. I remember seeing a bird flying in the distance, and I was like, holy shit, look at that bird! Lol. It felt like I was born again. I also have disposable contacts, but I usually just stick with my glasses since I'm so used to them. I'll use the contacts when I go to the beach or on vacation.

I would fight kids with glasses because once they took them off. I was like a blur to them! Winning!

Basically what my wife does. She has disposables but she says if she has a headache they aggrivate it. I think part of it might be the perscription is a bit off.

As for me, I'm officially rated 20-15. At 20-10 I need something like a +.1 diopter or something, so it's not even worth doing. That being said even though I have good vision--it's all I do have; my hearing have been used and abused. Lesson of the day kids--if you're going to a concert and you're in front of the Marshall stacks...use earplugs.

I use the clear care/peroxide stuff and it works great. I also have an astigmatism which is why I could never find a comfortable disposable lens.

How is this thread getting so much action? Still mud!

I had Lasik done about 12 years ago. Always had problems with contacts, (dry eyes, infections). Had the Lasik done. Procedure took 15 minutes and was painless.

I was nearsighted like 350/20 and went to 20/20. It's great not having to deal with glasses or contacts. The only disadvantage is for people around 40 they usually will need reading glasses after Lasik. At some point everyone needs reading glasses but with Lasik it's just sooner
