I’m still lost on how he didn’t see Odunze just standing there wide open past the marker as he looked beyond him for Cold Cement in triple coverage. Why is it either behind the LOS horizontal BS or hero ball? Need something in between.

I was told only justin bustin fields misses guys.

That wasnt the only play, he was misssing guys all day in both games. The difference is its game 2, but I was told only justin fields misses open players because he has no vision.

Funny what a bad OL does to a QB's excellent vision, makes him not see defensive players for caleb I guess

The back shoulder to DJ was sad to see. Moore had his man beat by yards and was still overthrown 😂. It happens but lord that accuracy crashes harder than a biff thread when he throws beyond 15 yards

A better metric would be to remove the immediate screens from the passing average and go from there. Without doing that, we don’t really get a good idea of he holds the ball too long.

Panic mode is definitely real. It’s a reaction to an action. Being scared af to throw the ball is real problem too. I’d almost rather have him try to make plays and throw some int’s.

I’m really worried about his deep ball accuracy after 2 games.

On some plays he does. He made some mistakes on blitz plays. He’ll learn
I think he’ll learn too. If the backs could help the blitz pickup and CW would hit the hot route, it should help immensely. He’s just a tad bit late on his throws on the intermediate routes, needs to start hitting deep shots though to make defenses honest. It’s obvious they don’t have any respect for deep routes; all defenders(or almost all) are lining up within 10yds of the LOS. Reminds me of when Nagy was calling the offense with Trubisky, defenses didn’t respect anything past 10yds.

Yea i dont mind him trying to make plays, but not throwing to a slow TE into triple coverage. That may have been the single worst throw/decision by a bears QB since the cutler era.

Hard to do anything past 10 yards when your oline sucks ballsacks.

The sad part is on some of those deep shots he had time to actually set his feet and use good form, but by then he was seeing ghosts and trying to get rid of the ball the moment he can. That deep shot to DC that was 10 yards overthrown he didnt need to do his stupid jump pass right after the snap, if he actually used good form he may have completed it.

We call this seeing ghosts. Daniel calls this efficient quarterbacking.

Malik Willis has the 2nd lowest time to throw in the NFL, clearly he's amazing now.

CJ Stroud has a higher time to throw than justin fields, looks like he may be regressing into a guy who takes sacks.

Yea, especially with Odunze wide open just watching the ball go over his head like it’s an airplane

Say what you will about fields but he'd never throw a ball to cold cement in triple coverage.

Guy might already have brane damage after two games as a bears QB.

That's true Fields generally wouldnt throw into triple coverage.. although he generally wouldn't throw it to wide open receivers half the time either..

You giving up on CW so soon? Jumping on the Bagent train yet?

Week 8 is when I'll start to judge our QB. Not before. The outside influences are too shitty right now. Both the Oline ond OC are holding him back.

I'm good. We are what and where I expected to be. After about week 8 we'll take the next step. Good times are coming.
ill save the same picture for you come week 8 then. just know that dosage will be a lot higher by then and your insurance provider may not cover 100% of it by then

Wrong guy. I'm a Bears fan. Disappointment is like a warm stew on a cold day to me.

Rookie QB's miss guys, it definitely happens while a rookie is developing. It should not be happening in year 3. We are two games in and people are trying to compare him to a 3rd year QB.
