Which part is funny?

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef2012 number 4 in 2011 and number 1 in 2012.
http://www.aikman.com/AikmanEfficie.../30/Aikman-Efficiency-Ratings-2011-Final.aspx #4 in 2011
http://www.aikman.com/AikmanEfficie...eId/44/Aikman-Efficiency-Ratings-Week-16.aspx

Maybe it was coincidence that Major and Conte were starters on a top notch D 2 years running. I don't believe it. I think they were ok NFL starters but got terribly exposed when the DL in front of them was dudes off the street and the LBs were confused rookies .

If the football brains around here think that there are more than a handful of safeties in the league that survive that looking half decent, well, good for them.

Yeah I'm sure the D-line was the reason for Conte constantly taking bad angles, poor tackling and biting on pump fakes.

Or wait. Maybe, just maybe, it's possible that good play from the players in front of the safeties can help cover up inferior talent at said safety position.

Nah, that can't be it. Let's go with a bad D-line made them make bad decisions and individual play. Yeah, that's it.

You almost made a logical post but you couldn't resist the temptation to make a straw man argument. Maybe the talent at safety was not inferior or special but in fact, OK, just as I said it was. MY contention is that safeties were not the main problem, the fact that Phil was signing traffic cones to play DT was a much larger problem.

Apparently you don't know what inferior means.

And just because something is not the "main problem", doesn't mean it's not a problem.

And just like that, this is back to being a Cutler thread. Well done.

I didn't have much of a problem with Wright or Cunte until 2013...then again...even Briggs looked like shit.

Nobody had a problem with them until the whole front 7 disappeared. The dumb hate them because it's easier to see the last man to mess up.

You still haven't answered how the front 7 being sub-par accounts for those safeties taking bad angles, poor tackling and constant biting on pump fakes. Or are you just choosing to ignore that because it conflicts with the BS you are trying to feed us?

I recall the bad angles being a problem with the LBs. Safeties were often making TD saving tackles.

I do recall them being out of position a lot.

What BS am I feeding anyone? You seem to reflexively disagree with anything I say.

Remember last time, when you nearly broke down in tears when I was making fun or your womanly overreactions?

So is this like when you started a thread asking if the GM was a moron, then promptly stated that you never said he was a moron?

Oh, and did you ever figure out what inferior means?
