The Bulls would get raped in that deal. Howard or no Howard. We'd be even further from winning a title with that lineup, which ORL will be much better than a team would normally be when trading away their top player.
I'm sorry, but this doesn't work for me.
I already know, blah, blah, blah, best center, best PG, blah blah blah, I'm basketball Special person, blah, blah, blah, you know everything and are always right, blah blah blah.
The Magic are the team that loses out in that deal. The Bulls would shed so much salary that it isn't even funny.
Taj Gibson is going to demand a steep contract soon.
Omer Asik is still a raw talent that will not be in his prime until he gets a chance to get some minutes on a team that has the capability of developing him.
Kyle Korver is a waste of 5M on the annual pay-roll.
Luol Deng is better than Hedo Turkoglu obviously. But that's what it will take to get Dwight Howard.
Joakim Noah is a very good player with tons of potential to grow offensively. But Dwight Howard is undeniably TONS and TONS better and always will be.
C.J. Watson would be another 3M to shed from the pay-roll. The Bulls wouldn't need him.
The first round pick(s) would be sad to give up. But still well-worth it.
The Bulls would be down to under 50M dollars on the yearly pay-roll. Depending on what the cap is, the Bulls could add a player in free agency like Jason Richardson or Caron Butler before Rose gets his contract.
Imagine:
Dwight Howard, Kurt Thomas
Carlos Boozer, Earl Clark (or Brandon Bass)
Hedo Turkoglu, Ronnie Brewer
Jason Richardson, Keith Bogans
Derrick Rose
That team is way better than the one they have now.
