If we offered Luol Deng (borderline top 10 SF with a not-so-distant expiring contract), Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, Kyle Korver, and a 1st round pick for Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu (and his massive contract),

...I don't see how ORL could refuse

ORL:
C: Noah, Asik
PF: Gibson, Ryan Anderson, Brandon Bass
SF: Deng, Clark (4)
SG: J.J. Redick, Kyle Korver
PG: Gilbert Arenas (2), Jameer Nelson, C.J. Watson

CHI:
C: Howard
PF: Boozer
SF: Turkoglu, Brewer (2)
SG: Bogans
PG: Rose, Lucas

Maybe the Bulls could get back Brandon Bass or Earl Clark in the deal as well. ORL wouldn't miss them.

If I'm Orlando, I'd ask for all the picks the Bulls have.

The Bulls would get raped in that deal. Howard or no Howard. We'd be even further from winning a title with that lineup, which ORL will be much better than a team would normally be when trading away their top player.

I'm sorry, but this doesn't work for me.

I already know, blah, blah, blah, best center, best PG, blah blah blah, I'm basketball Special person, blah, blah, blah, you know everything and are always right, blah blah blah.

and I would ask for the rights to Nikola Mirotic that's who would be my primary target if I am ORL. Kids gonna be good he is probably your best young trade asset to get Howard.

The Magic are the team that loses out in that deal. The Bulls would shed so much salary that it isn't even funny.

Taj Gibson is going to demand a steep contract soon.

Omer Asik is still a raw talent that will not be in his prime until he gets a chance to get some minutes on a team that has the capability of developing him.

Kyle Korver is a waste of 5M on the annual pay-roll.

Luol Deng is better than Hedo Turkoglu obviously. But that's what it will take to get Dwight Howard.

Joakim Noah is a very good player with tons of potential to grow offensively. But Dwight Howard is undeniably TONS and TONS better and always will be.

C.J. Watson would be another 3M to shed from the pay-roll. The Bulls wouldn't need him.

The first round pick(s) would be sad to give up. But still well-worth it.

The Bulls would be down to under 50M dollars on the yearly pay-roll. Depending on what the cap is, the Bulls could add a player in free agency like Jason Richardson or Caron Butler before Rose gets his contract.

Imagine:

Dwight Howard, Kurt Thomas
Carlos Boozer, Earl Clark (or Brandon Bass)
Hedo Turkoglu, Ronnie Brewer
Jason Richardson, Keith Bogans
Derrick Rose

That team is way better than the one they have now.

Big Sexy isn't playing as a backup anymore. He'll be a deep bench player, if he even comes back.

The point is that Dwight Howard will take up a good 36 minutes. They will need to fill about 12 per-game. Kurt Thomas can do that.

If he doesn't come back then the Bulls can always sign a free agent like Francisco Elson, Aaron Gray, Dan Gadzuric, Theo Ratliff, Jason Collins, and/or Hilton Armstrong.

That's nice, but there is just 1 godawful huge hole still in your line-up that disturbs me and makes me cringe..the same hole that has haunted us since losing Gordon...In your statement, there is somthing so horrific that stands out........BOGANS IS STILL THE FRICKIN STARTING 2GUARD....UUUuugggghhhhhh!!!!!!

It would be pretty interesting if he winds up in LA. I think they would bring back the crown.

That could also drive Phil Jackson crazy, forcing him to slit his wrists knowing in his mind,"if I only waited one more year to retire, I could of had another ring to fulfill my addiction"..

The Bulls would be at about $40,000,000 in pay-roll. They could easily fit in a Caron Butler or J-Rich if there is a new CBA by next summer.

And I wouldn't say Keith Bogans is a hole in the line-up. He is a strong, solid on-ball defender and a decent three-point shooter. He was the only Bull to start all 82 games last season and they went 62-20. Not too shabby.

And I know that you hate Hinrich but I really wish the Bulls still had him. He would be the perfect solution to back-up both the 1 and 2 positions. Gordon can't play the 1 and is too small to guard the 2.

Okay, I can buy that...with that moneey off the books, maybe the Bulls should sign JR Smith to add to Rose and Howard....We would have a superteam....I'm getting goosebumps now.

With a starting line up of Turkalu,Boozer,Howard,JRSmith, and Rose, we could beat the 72 win record or go almost undefeated....That's a sick terrifying lineup...If I had to play that team, I would call in sick.

Hedo has his upside over Deng and his downside.

Deng is a much better defender.

Deng is a considerably better rebounder.

Deng is a more consistent shooter but doesn't have Turkoglu's shooting range.

Turkoglu is a better ball-handler and passer.

Deng moves better without the ball.

Turkoglu is a bit too ball-domineering.

Deng is a better finisher near the basket.

Hedo isn't a blackhole with the basketball. I reserve that label for players like Ben Gordon who can't pass or dribble who take low-percentage shots.

Agreed........We don't get any better or wose at the smallforward spot.....And it doesn't matter because we have 4 allstars in our starting lineup, (JRSmith,Boozer,Howard and Rose)....Our big 4 trumps Miamis big 3, 4 to 3.....And now that I think about it, Turkalou was very good at one time and can be aain...capable of being a borderline allstar....there we have a big 5...Now we trump Miami 5 to 3....simple math...

The Bulls would have two superstars, a former all-star, and an average player.

Ben Gordon and Derrick Rose simply wouldn't get it done to close games like J.R. Smith and Rose.

Who would guard the Wade's and Kobe's and Joe Johnson's and Ray Allen's and Manu's? BG or Rose? I prefer neither. Smith would be much better.

Both Smith and BG would take the ball out of Rose's hands to end games. That is why I'd prefer a guy like Caron Butler or Jason Richardson.

I hope you know I was being sarcastic about the big 5 thing..LoL
Derrick Rose and Howard would be our 2 allstars..Boozer could be borderline...Smith potentially...Hedo, just average and a hole filler.....As far as JRSmith not giving th ball up to Rose at the end of games, I disagree....I think they would share cluttch 4th quarter shots 50/50 to the point where opposing teams can't decide who to double team...its a win win situaltion for the Bulls.

A lot of good posts on here...and one dude whining because he's an idiot. That said I might shock some with this...but if I could choose between J.R. Smith and Ben Gordon at AN AFFORDABLE PRICE...I might just take Gordon...especially if you get Howard. Now again, you would have to get a ball handler to back up Rose. But I would rather have Gordon on the floor in the fourth quarter than Smith, though I think Smith is a better player all around. Let's remember, Howard is a walking top 10 defense by himself. Its not like he had all world defenders around him in Orlando a lot of the time.

The problem with Gordon before was he didn't really know how to let Rose be dominant. Now? Rose is an MVP-caliber superstar, I would think Gordon would understand where he is in the pecking order. You have Rose and Howard with Gordon and I think that would be a good combination.
