Kirk will be coming off the bench...what im saying is i expect Kirk to play minutes with Rose as the 2nd ball handler

and its essential Jimmy hits the 3 better i dont know why you think its aokay he shoots 28%...todays NBA is all about floor spacing

i think Brooks/Rose will be a rare combo but i could be wrong on that

That's what I'm saying, there could be some lineups that surprise, imo. I have two major questions. How good is Brooks gonna fit, and can he find the open shooter as well as score? 2nd, how good can Dougie be at Thib's team defense. Then, can Brooks check Wall any good?

Cuz if these things go well, I could see Brooks-Rose-Dougie at the 1-2-3 being awesome. I just think there's some lineups, and flexibility for Thib's this year. I hope he uses it!

It might hurt a little IRT to post ups, but chances are he can still back down someone like Jimmy. The idea behind his weight loss, from what I've read, is basically to enhance overall performance and utilization of muscle mass by following a diet that allows the body to use fat as a primary energy source.

He's not really going to get a ton weaker, and he's probably going to be a bit quicker, more agile, etc. I don't think this helps the Bulls.

basically hes going back to Cleveland Bron

Totally understand, I've been working out all my life. I just think that one of the things that makes LJ a tough matchup is cuz of his size. That extra weight for a whole game can wear players down. And LJ is like a fuckin locomotive coming into the lane driving rim.

That should help our bigs defend that a little better, hopefully as well. I realize a quicker LJ isn't good, but I believe the Bulls team defense can neutralize that a little.

that lineup sorely lacks defense and thats why i dont think it will happen on thibs watch

from what i know thibs always wants to have a perimeter and post defender on the floor at all times

thats why i think our final signing will be somebody like Ronnie Brewer after Marion picks where hes going just so we have another wing defender besides Jimmy

He's still going to be a locomotive. I mean, his weight is probably still around 250, which isn't chopped liver for a guy who's 6'8-6'9. If he doesn't wear out defenders with his size, he can wear them out by attacking with his speed and agility. Point is, he's still LeBron, he's going to wear out defenses. And now he's got a pretty solid jumper to go with his Cleveland LeBron size.

I get it, man. I've seen many players from several sports gain/lose weight. Sometime it helps, sometimes it doesn't. It does make sense to lose weight as he gets older. It's still my opinion this could make it a little easier for Jimmy to check him. Really depends how much loses, however. I'd love to see him lose 15 lbs, myself. :yep:

Well, I know you don't like Snell's defense, but I'm hoping he takes the next step defensively. However, I'd Love bringing in Brewer. I Love Brewer's sneaky baseline moves. That would fit nicely with our bigs, imo, and yes, bring some more defense.

And I'm not looking for that lineup forr the defense, obviously. That's why I'm looking to see how Dougie and Brooks fit Thib's defense, however. If Dougie can play not great defense, but good enough to stay on the floor at the end of a game, he can be a weapon.

Yep. Becoming/staying slim can be big for being a productive player once you hit your 30s and beyond. Tim Duncan comes to mind.

Yeah, I was thinking about starting a fund to send Pau to Duncan's off season Berry camp!

Seriously, that brings up a point. Pau has gotten criticism for being over the hill.... he does seem to be into his medicine and taking care of his body.

I think this could help extend his career, hopefully. Duncan went on that Berry diet or whatever, there's definitely a lot to taking care of your body, especially as you get older.

Pau could've gone into medicine IIRC...he definitely knows how to keep his body healthy. Or so one would think.

This, plus the fact that his game is not predicated on athleticism, means he will be fine moving forward. The Lakers, who you would think would know best, offered Pau a 3 year contract. One wouldn't think they would offer that if they didn't think he was OK for another few years..... but, yes, I realize the Laker weren't that good too. :p

Nah, it just means Jerry Buss is a moron. The Lakers are a complete mess because of him.

Dr. Jerry Buss is dead and wasn't a moron. Jim his son runs the team now and has done a horrible job of it so far.

i was just telling the truth about Snell....he showed glimpses of good defense but more often then not he fouled, over committed, was out of position, got blown by etc etc

ppl didnt take offense to what i was saying until i said Gordon was a better defender lol

but im hoping he can take the next step aswell

not really fond of Brewer at this stage....he was a shell of Jazz self his first go around here...now hes really fell off...but since he knows thibs system i wouldn't be suprised if they brought him back
