Yes, we all know he played out of his mind, but it was Washington's physicality that took the Bulls out of their game. You disagree?
I think it was Washington making all of their jumpers and Chicago making no jumpers

Well Pau Gasol will fix that!

Why?

It took Thibs 4 years to solve this issue? What was he doing Sodoku?

LBJ's conditioning is a big problem......................

Does this place watch the NBA?

"LBJ's conditioning is a big problem", You mean like when he was cramping up and couldn't play? :dunno:

"Years to solve what issue"? Rose was young the 1st time, and missed the next 3 finals. What's your point?

Oh ok. So offense>defense

Got it.

I know literacy is not your what you are known, trolling is.

When jump shooters are how, they are about impossible to defend. Players don't tend to stay hot for too long in the NBA. When Dunleavy got crazy hot the Wizards could not defend him. At the end of the day hot shooters player regress to their averages. The Wizards did in the second round.

This is not about:
offense>defense
or
defense> offense

I know people want to distill it down to that. It is much easier for simple minds to understand. It still comes down to matchups and players making plays. At this point it is still all mental masturbation to guess who is going to the finals. We don't know how players will matchup and we don't know who is even going to be on the court yet.

Troll on.

First, if Thibs is such a great coach then it shouldn't have taken more than a game to figure it out.

Second, how has Thib solved it if we haven't seen Rose play?

Well, can't help you then if you wanna side with the trolls. Washington played tough, physical defense and beat the shit out of the Bulls. And I screamed for two years that we needed an enforcer to protect the players and you called me crazy. We got beat up that series, and yes, the Bulls definitely ran into a buzzsaw. It happens.

If I'm siding with the trolls, that's coincidental. Just looked that the shooting percentages from that series. Washington shot 2% better from the field, but 5% better from 3. It's not that the Bulls got owned every game...each game was close. If the Bulls shoot 35% from 3 instead of 33% (most of which was from Mike Dunleavy's crazy game 3) they might have won that series.

:yep:

Good offense beats good defense

But the great defenses always get the stop when they need it. Even the Heat were lauded when their defense clamped down. Offense wins in the last 2 minutes, though, that's a matchup thing.

They're both important, but if you can't score in the last 2 minutes it doesn't really matter how good your defense is...

By adding the 1st post up player he's ever had, the best Euro player who hits 3's at a 50% clip, and the best college scorer. That's a good start to taking pressure oof Rose you fuckin imbecile.

Fair enough, but for me, those first two games totally took the Bulls out of their game from the physicalness, but hey, that's my opinion. I don't think that will happen again.

How does that take pressure off Rose if Cleveland doesn't have to help off those guys the way the Heat didn't have to help off of guys like Boozer, Deng, Korver, etc in 2011?
