Flus looked like he might have turned a coaching corner but no, out schemed in all 3 phases but even if they're even, they're losing. Bears need to out coach and outplay decent teams to have a shot.
A better coach would have this team at 4 wins at this point in the season. He’s just a coach that has to rely on talent to win. Because he can’t scheme or develop them to win.

Bears aren't firing Flus after 2 seasons. They arent firing Poles after 2 seasons. They arent giving up on Fields after 3 insanely inconsistent seasons either.

This is the Chicago Bears we are talking about here. Flus will be back and Fields will be given one more season to ditch his inconsistency while the organization compiles a 3rd losing season in a row under Flus/Poles.

My guess is that Getsy gets scapegoated and either Tyke Tolbert or Andrew Janocko end up getting the OC promotion.
I’ve always kinda thought this too but you can’t be the worst team in the league two years in a row. Even the Mccaskeys have to have some standards right?

The offense has a lot of problems, but I can’t wait to get rid of this shit defense… Having TJ Edwards pick up Ekeler over and over is some kind of special. There is no game plan or scheming for the defense. Just trot out the same tired soft zone shit regardless of who they’re playing.

Eberflus is tied to Fields. No way they give him a new QB. I guess you can say Bagent as well. Hopefully that has already been made clear to him. Bottom line only way he survives is the team gets close to the playoffs and the QB play is good enough to sell to the fans they need another year.

If the team needs to draft a QB they have to bring in a new staff. For once align everything up please.
How is Flus tied to Fields?

When a head coach is tied to a player, it means that the player was drafted under his watch. Nagy was tied to Fields. Flus inherited Fields, just like a step-child when he married into the Chicago Bears.

Seeing that not even Bagent was drafted by the Bears while Flus was HC, he shouldn't be jettisoned by the Bears if a new staff comes in because he is worthy of a chance of staying as a backup QB because his value as a QB is worth a lot more than the peanuts that he is being paid.

Have Bears fans forgotten that George has bungled basically everything since he took over? 5-12/6-13 will be enough for Eberflus to keep his job.
My hope, and it is just a hope, is that George created the team president (and CEO per yesterday's broadcast) to insulate him from anything to do with the Bears. He can go back to being a fan with the perma-behind-the-scenes pass that every other Bears fan would love to have, 100% perks & 0% responsibility.

They aren't actively tanking, otherwise they wouldn't plan on playing Murray. And the Bears are also devoid of talent, so they really aren't all that far apart.
Fun fact, the Cardinals are a good Khalil Mack 2023 game away from having as many sacks in 2023 as the Bears have/had in 2022 & 2023. Sure, Mack does not play for the Cardinals, but his 6 sacks are not some impossible stat to achieve.

Having 24 sacks so far, the Cards will have more sacks in 2023 than the Bears had in 2022 (20) and whatever they add to their 2023 number of 10 by season's end.

Ok, little words...

The Bears currently have 10 sacks in 2023 and had 20 in 2022, totaling 30 sacks.

30 sacks is 6 more than the 24 sacks that the Cardinals currently have in 2023. That 6 sack total is the same amount that Khalil Mack had in his best game in 2023.

Seeing that the 2023 Cardinals already have 24 sacks in 2023, it is a distinct possibility that they will have at least 6 more sacks for the rest of the year than the Bears have for the rest of the year.

My hope is that Warren was seen at the game last night because he was scouting Kellen Moore.
