I like to get paper bags because I use them to collect the dogshit in the back yard. Yeah I should pick it up immediately but in reality I wait a few days and then it works better to walk around with a paper one and get it all at once with the pooper scooper. It's next to impossible to get them to use paper if you ask so I do my own bagging unless the developmentally disabled person they hire is already standing there doing it for me (with plastic and not in a way that makes any sense).

Whenever I shop at whole foods, I feel like I should get to steal shit.

I always need to take a major shit when we go there. It works out well because by the time I'm done, my wife's done all the shopping

At least you pick up after your dog. Seems like nobody does in our neighborhood. Then again, I'm pretty sure some of our neighbors shit on the sidewalk themselves

That one bagger guy on my last trip to Iowa kept asking me if I wanted to leave the bag of chips out. And I kept saying, no, I'll eat them later. He's like, "trust me, these are good chips", and left them out anyways.

Were they good chips, man of the house? :D.

Some other people I asked about this claimed "Maybe she wasn't trying to be a ***** to you, but was pissed at the bagger who walked off"

Don't know I buy that cause the bagger was gone.... but everyone seems to be saying its not expected that you jump in and bag if there is no bagger in your checkout line.

I just figured I was an asshole and she was right to be pissed at me.... lol

When I walk my dogs at the local park I always take bags. It drives me crazy that people just leave their dog's shit in the middle of the same field where their grandkids have football practice. One of these days I'm going to walk up to one of them, hand them a bag, and say "here - you must have forgotten yours."

They're making 9 bucks an hour and have to deal with the public. I don't expect anything from them and an happy to bag my own things. I can't stand it when people complain about a lack of service from people who are working for money you wouldn't get out of bed for.

When I had a previous job and was making some pretty decent money...I'd occasionally request my groceries to be taken out and placed in my vehicle for me. If the bag boy did it w/out grumbling about me being perfectly able, I'd tip him $10 or $15. Eventually, they caught on, and 3 ppl would go to the register I was checking out at.

That was a fun game for me.

I hope I didn't come across like I was complaining. I just like balancing the weight in my bags for when we get to carry them up 3 flights when we get home. That said, I bagged groceries when I was 14 and didn't expect, or receive, much respect from the inbred pig ****** customers

Want sure if that was for me (I did mention people complaining), if so no, I wasn't meaning you sound like you're complaining at all. Just talking about these people who expect anyone in a service job to bend over backwards for them. It's mostly older people with a more "traditional work ethic", I think. They think everything is an opportunity and everyone should be going the extra mile as part of the whole pulling themselves up by the bootstraps bullshit. For minimum wage. Always rubs me the wrong way.

yeah, I agree, and I wasn't sure if you meant me, either. Should have quoted you. Sorry
