In the mod forum planning your ban
It's very exciting to see a skill set like this in a Bears QB. I'm not quite sure how to process this yet.
I don’t want to get too excited. Being a bears fan is usually pain

0:35- Not considered an almost INT
1:27- Was an almost pick only, but only because James fell.
2:24- How the f*ck is that an almost INT? The ball sailed over everyones heads.
3:30- How the f*ck is that an almost INT? The ball was throw like that on purpose because of how the defender was playing.

0:35 - batted ball that wasn't anywhere close to being picked off.
1:27 - was almost picked. TE fell down backwards. If he stays up, it's just as close to a completion as an INT. But I agree with you on this one.
2:24 - I think you're on crack. Ball was thrown high and Wims completely mistimed his jump. I still don't think he catches it. But it's a ball only the WR can catch.
3:30 - Beautifully thrown ball with the CBs back turned

If you want to nitpick, or at least try to, like you are...go back and look at all the throws the best of the best make. They are balls fit into small windows and placed only where the WR can grab it. I don't expect Fields to be perfect, but he's showing he is capable of making some of those throws. I'm not sure why you are so anti-Fields or looking to bring him down. But hey, go have fun cheering for the Packers.

Overall he did okay for this first action. Wasn't amazing but wasn't bad.

If you want to make excuses you should go back and look at all the "almosts" for previous QBs and see if your excuses were allowed. At least that's what my guess the point being made is when someone nitpicks at this point.
I would also guess that you are either A) in the "almost" group who called anything and everything an "almost" and blamed the QB and should be saying the same thing now or B) in the "excuse" group and should understand the point when it's prefaced with "Are we still counting almost picks?".

I don’t think he played bad or anything. But tearing up 2nd and 3rd stringers in a preseason game is not something that I am gonna get overly excited about. The TD to James was wide fucking open. Anyone should hit that.

You can see his athleticism and overall talent. I have high hopes he can be a great player. Maybe even this year but it will probably take some time to get there.
I hear ya but honestly at this point, we all know its the preseason and I dont care who he's playing against. 1st, 2nd, 3rd team... who cares? Get him out there and get used to the playbook, routes, build rapport with the line, receivers, everyone. I dont care about stats at this point, he just needs to run against a defense that doesn't have a Bears logo on it, period.

Am I going to give the benefit of the doubt to a rookie QB playing in his first ever preseason game? Yeah. Why? Because I don't give a **** either way. You literally made shit up. If you want to go back and count any throw within 5 yards as an almost interception. Be my guest. Waste your own time doing that. Because when you see a post like the one you made, it tells everyone that you're hating just to hate. So go do you. I'll forget about what you said in a few minutes.

I'm someone other than who you are thinking of so I didn't literally make shit up, you literally did. ?
If you've been here since 2012 you shouldn't need this history explained to you. The only reason I can think of that you would be so defensive about it is if you were one of the ones counting almosts against one of the QBs along the way.

Your present take on those that are critical of Caleb seems extremely hypocritical, considering how you attacked people that were defending ROOKIE Justin Fields in a PRESEASON game.

Because I'm not a psycho like you obviously are I'm not going to go back and read the context but I'm guessing this was about Fields throwing into triple coverage that every was jerking over because it was a dime into double coverage. The problem was he didn't see the 3rd coming in.

I wasn't freaking out about it. I was saying it was something to watch for.
It was something that came up a few times on some of his interceptions. They seem to have fixed it. But along with fixing it came Fields being unable to anticipate.

And again I never freaked out about it like you morons are after 4 games of Williams. Even after 3 years of Fields I wasn't freaking out about it like you morons are after 4 games of Williams.
What goes on this year really has no bearing on what happens for Williams' career, you fucking psycho moron. My take on the rookie QB is exactly the same, idiot.

CCS people find some of the strangest hills to die on. this is the only forum I've ever been to where people actively search for topics that are within or out of context of whatever from years ago just to shitpost lol

So, being concerned about Caleb’s inaccuracy downfield equates to “freaking out”? And for the record, you are a hypocrite that was critical of Justin Fields after a preseason game his rookie year, yet you’re trashing posters daily because of them having a critical position of Caleb Williams after his 4th regular season game as a rookie.

Every forum I have ever been on would ban people for doing it or they block it by archiving posts so they can't be bumped. This place seems to love it if people flood the front page with years old posts.

You might want to go back and do some more psycho searching, psycho.
My stance is the same whether it was Trubisky or Fields or Williams. We won't know for years and this rookie year is meaningless.

I did look up and see what I was saying here was reaming someone else out about counting "almost interceptions". I'm not watching the video to see if the context is what I think it is but my first post in this thread was saying the Fields had more talent than Trubisky.
You really have no clue what "context" means do you?
